When do they move the track to some empty fields and start looking like a real college football stadium? :D

AO,

I took a look at Northwest's new soccer facility...looks like they will put some lines out to host some football games as well.

Dog,

Bleachers will go out soon enough.  Field is same color as the previous but at sunset there isn't as much atmospheric light when that photo was taken.  Here's another shot: http://instagram.com/p/q-es__p6eK/?modal=true

good guess.  you're half right.  maybe you're just confused by the campus' former use as a catholic prep seminary.

I'm more Norwegian than Swede, don't think you've got anything to worry about.

Just checking out some of the other D3 teams highlight videos, and nothing compares to what "11" serves up. One thing I have noticed is the amount of noise makers in the stands? Linfield is so against this, D3 rule? I say lets join in and make some noise this year for the Cats! Lets plant some bodies in the stands that can stand for a play or two. Let the student body actually yell, and maybe then they would come back to watch the second half. Just saying year after year we get to see a fantastic football team. And we do have some great backers of the program, but for the numbers in the crowd it is pretty silent...other than the kick-off clap, and a couple times a game you hear DEFENSE! I would love to see a guy like willamette had a few years back, he could get there fans going.....and no not the "another bearcat first down" clown. Home field advantage is so much more than just not traveling. I am so ready to make some noise for our Cats!
Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

D O.C.

"Lars and Ole were out in a fishing boat......"

I humbly disagree about the noisemakers. The lack of them is comforting. That LINFIELD crowd is somewhat sophisticated having seen so many winning seasons. They are not blase. They know a good play when they see one. They understand momentum. The current students can do anything within the NCAA rules if they choose to, ala the old South Forty basketball circus.
I would not like seeing the words MAKE SOME NOISE flash on the board.
The UMHB play-off game in 2009 was typical LINFIELD.  Stone silence while CRU marched. A couple of fumble recoveries and the stadium could feel the game change and real sound was a buzzin'.

Maybe we should all stay home and watch on line?

I believe this is a Northwest Conference rule and it's for sure an NCAA rule during the playoffs.

This past year I thought the students section was great during the CLU and PLU games (really strong for PLU) but bailed pretty quickly for L&C and UPS games...but I can't really blame them that much on those games.  A lot of it I think comes down to the match-up, if the visiting team can bring a strong fan base (it takes two to tango), and if a team can push Linfield at home....which hasn't happened too often over the past 5 years.

This is where I'm in lockstep with D O.C.  I probably watch/listen to each game 4 times in pulling clips to put together the game highlights.  Our crowd is smart and they will let you know when they see something they like and can sense it when the 'Cats need them.  A great example is this crowd audio from the 2011 CLU playoff game.  It was one of those small thanksgiving break playoff crowds but the crowd understood the flow of the game and they were awesome.  I feel this is a great representation of what our home crowds are about.

Totally agree with you 11, forget sometimes there is a 50 point spread by half....can't blame the students.
