How long until you Catbackers quit falling for the chumming? We are excited and our families at Thanksgiving are going to want us out of the house after 45 minutes but do not fall for the chumming any more. Go out and run.

To Think It's Only Wednesday........reading this Board today one would think we were only hours before a good 'ol Catnipping was about to take place!

Cat fans everywhere are Thankful (in the spirit of Thankgiving) that the Catdome is the Home of the National Champions and until some team can prove otherwise it will stay that way!

Note to all Cobber faithful:  Please take note when you enter the Catdome the number of football National Championship that are displayed on the banner!  Of the 50 straight winning season -- nearly 10% of those season has been a National Championships, not to mention the runnerup a couple of times.

Have fun on your trip, enjoy the great Pacific Northwest and the 2005 Wildcats will give you a game to remember!!

Cats fa natic...think twice here.  From what you've seen of Alex Smith, Utah made a mistake??
Good grief, they didn't lose a game in the year and a half he was the starter and as a non BCS school, Utah was in the Fiesta Bowl (yeah, that means a lot of money).  Utah didn't make a mistake, and the fact that Smith has a $20 million bonus check in his wallet kinda helps too.   Brett saw the writing on the wall himself....his move to Linfield didn't take very long.

What I meant by that was that I do not think he's a better player than Brett.  Yes, they won at Utah after Elliot left, and yes, Smith signed a big contract at SF. But had Elliot not been injured I feel he would have been the one sitting pretty on draft day.

Plus, I have not been impressed with Smith's transition to the NFL. He's looked pretty rattled. Yeah, I know, I know. Big difference between NFL and Utah but my point is that I feel Utah didn't give Elliot the respect or job he deserved.

I love how my quesiton has been avioded...

Is there anyone in D3 football you think Linfield wouldn't "monkey stomp"? I mean, comparing Concordia to the mighty ducks??? WOW! And all this talk about realism...I'm the one being real. You cats are talking about how you've already won the stagg bowl this year so you putting on the board predictions of a blowout of the best team you've faced so far is a bad example of realism.

Mount Union... St. Johns... UMHB... Probably others, too.

I think these are all teams we could beat but not necessarily monkey stomp them.  Mount Union because they know how to win and always are well coached. St. Johns for the same reason, and UMHB because we saw how tough they were last year.

I was going to say what CATSLB28 just posted -- one game at a time. That's always been Linfield's philosophy. I don't think you'll read on this board, like I did on the MIAC board from an SJU poster, the time of day that we'd be hoisting up the Stagg Bowl Trophy. We're confident about our team, but we like to win the games first.
