Not ashamed to admit that if I had to watch it again it would STILL bring me to tears. Hate putting down dogs no matter that you know it is probably going to happen from the moment that puppy first comes home.

Old Dog is licking his wounds. We got our butts pounded, good old fashion domination. #55 owned our right tackle and he alone stopped us. Why we did not have a TE help on him I will never understand. That dude disrupted almost every pass play and every run play his side. I may have missed this one, our offense is worse than last year. LF exposed our DB's. We will be lucky to be 5-4 at this point. LF found our back up DE who started this game. I do know our starters was missing.
Hats off to playing a very sound game.

Good luck to the Cats...they just dominated us puppies.

One of our dogs died two weeks ago and I cried.  She was such a great pet and I miss her.

Watching Linfield's offense sputter in the opening quarter at Chapman last week was enough to bring tears to the eyes of this old dog Cat.

Olddog Redlands going into Chapman game has a shot at being 5-2 or 4-3.  Should get some confidence back with Pomona up next after having to take on two top tens back to back. Linfield's QB is better than any you will see and Linfield's receivers as a group...good luck finding a better group in D3 so not sure your corners won't be fine against rest of SCIAC. Redlands is 0-0 in league and if they get the first two out of their heads they will contend. That was a different Linfield team Redlands saw and l think Redlands can play with Chapman just need to beat CalLu and stay away from any ambush games. Of course if you guys come out on top you will have to deal with either Linfield, PLU, or Willamette!  And yeah 55 and his buddies were impressive.

So a few of you have seen Willamette in action. What's the scoop? That's not very many pass attempts (18). But the run game isn't a return to the fly, is it?

I've watched both of their games online--they don't impress---their D seems pretty susceptible to a good passing attack.  Offensively, they are running more this year (some fly--but not a "return").  I think the QB situation and/or lack of time to throw are the main reason they are not putting the ball in the air but others may have more information.  Cawcdad was at the game last week and his observation was that Willamette is basically a "big play" offense.  They have a whole lot of nothing and then---boom!--Big play. They are also pretty sloppy--lots of turnover---against 2 mediocre (at best) defenses.  I suspect that they will struggle against the better teams in conference...I am curious to see what PLU does vs. Trinity since Cal LU gave you guys more of a game (in the 2nd half) than they managed to give Willamette (who wore them down and then had their way with them in the 2nd half)....
Go Cats!

I agree that PLU @ Trinity will be interesting this week.  Also Chapman @ Whitworth, who apparently loves to air it out.

Thanks for the WU info.

Old Yellar made my whole family cry.....that was a pretty slick game plan that writer came up with.  Maybe it's about time for Hollywood to do a remake on that movie.  I'd go....Or did I miss it already?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!
