Thank you WC 11 for sharing the Riddle story.

He sounds like the real deal and has his head and heart in the right place's.

Go Cats!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Okay I'll admit, those are decent digs at PLU in your piece there. Well-played and good on ya.

Will we be allowed to tailgate in the lower parking lot at Lewis and Clark this year?

The NWC was a two team conference for 30 years.
The NWC has been gapping between LINFIELD and the rest of the conference for 14 years.
Beating yourself with St. Thomas and Oshkosh might keep a team out of Elite east of the Cascades.

Spot on, DOC!!

Those come from behind losses to Wesley, CLU and last year didn't help either.   Last year's team, with the stars aligned (some good health), could have been in the Stagg Bowl.   This year's team can play even-up with anyone and can change the perception back east.

Does LC being the only other Top 25 team with over 500 points after the "ultra-elite" 4 (just 21 points less than Wesley) in the Top 25 poll mean that "the panel of 25 coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members from across the country" who vote think that LC should be part of the "ultra-elite"? Or not?

??   Yes and no, I guess.  Ordinal measurement scales have several limitations - and luckily - none of this really matters.

But it means the Wildcats are nearly every voter's #5 team.  If the top five were 'unanimous', #5 would have 525 points and trail #4 by 25 votes.  But it doesn't really say how much difference voters think there is between Linfield and Wesley (or the other 3).

Some voters might see a more obvious gap after Linfield.  But the drop off in point totals there is more directly a result of uncertainty regarding who's next.  Wartburg and John Carroll are nearly tied for #6/#7.  That's perhaps some evidence, but isn't necassarily proof that the voters think the top 5 are a 'head and shoulders' gap above the next 5 in the poll.  UWW has about the same point gap over UMHB and MU (who are nearly tied for #2).

ADvantage 'Catdome ADvantage Friday Feature: Craven Saves The Streak

Great write up by Sara Miller on the day "the streak" was almost broke at Lewis & Clark in 1996.

...heading to Lewis & Clark....got cigars packed!  8-)

OldCatProf

Also heading to Lewinsky & Clark. Will leave all cigar activity to Bluenote. Am hoping for an interesting game but not planning on it. May all the Cats get to play and may there be no injuries to either team.

Probably going to be a traditional late-October rainy day. GO CATS!
