Foss...Happy Holiday...you now have something to put at the bottom of the screen should Lewis and Reed Clark reinstitute football.

Foss

You too, DenS. Either that or, "Hey, MWC chump - if you're too afraid to play us mighty Pios then just pick a score and phone it in!"
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Bluenote,

These are good solid Linfield fans. You know the female quite well, and she is disappointed that she won't get to hear you play at Trask again, but she's looking forward to seeing you at the game. She's spent quite a bit of time out here. When I was in the Linfield bookstore earlier this week, the woman who works there even asked about her.

A couple of her favorite places to visit are the rooftop bar and the Brew Pub. so we'll probably go there. We always go winetasting when she's here, too.

She will be in Linfield attire at the game. She's probably our biggest fan in Minnesota.

See you Saturday. Go Wildcats!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Is there anyone in D3 football you think Linfield wouldn't "monkey stomp"?

I don't think they will monkey stomp UMHB.  I was at the Stagg Bowl last year and thought that both teams were very competitive.  Linfield won and looked quite good, but they didn't monkey stomp them.  I was part of the Va. welcoming committee known as Stone Station.  Should you all return this December, and it seems fairly likely, we will be there to meet and greet you all again.  Especially if Chuck brings that big purple flag!!!

If there is a team that can beat the CAT'S this year they will need to run AND throw the ball effectively I beleive.

If the Cobber's are as one-dimensional as everyone is saying, then they're going to be down by four td's before they know what hit them.

Unless they have some absolute horses on the O-line and at running back to play ball control with, which they just might.

One thing about the teams from Minnesota is they'll come out and hit hard and punch you in the mouth all game.  When a team is physical like that anything can happen.  Fresno State almost knocked off USC doing just that.

Crap talking from the MWC - now I've seen it all. The conference who is automatically given a playoff bid no matter what so that a much more deserving team from say the NWC or MIAC can't go. If Lewis & Clark really wanted to win a game this year, all they had to do was get a game with someone from that conference. "Pio's in a rout, leave no doubt!"

Ouch!   :o

Wanted to wish everyone on here a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone has a lot to be thankful for.  If you don't, think a little harder. Life's full of things to be grateful for.

Be safe if you're travelling. Could get sloppy.  The wife and I are hosting this year, so we're not driving anywhere.

Best to all.

hey Cats....

this is slightly off topic, but i'm guessing there's a lot more in common between Linfield and Concordia than just a football game this weekend.  During the 30's and 40's, the dustbowl drove many a Midwesterner out to Oregon.   Could all this feuding be because we share lots of DNA?

In that vain, can anyone tell me how much playing time my cousin's son (Fischer) will get this weekend. He was on the Cat team last year, and I think is on it this year.

Best of luck to all my Kernel (it's not Kernal) and Cat 'blood' brothers this weekend.

Foss.......this business about the MWC keeping an NWC team out of the playoffs.    Pretty tough to make an argument that Willamette or Whitworth deserved in this year.  The NCAA recognizes conference champions as a primary way to get into the post season, thus the term "pool A".   If they didn't, we would have a BCS (not an NCAA group, FWIW) situation where some conferences would be favored and some would not be favored.   I have no problem with the MWC champ getting in, no matter how weak they may be.   At least they have enough in the way of membership to get an AQ, something we won't have in the NWC for another two years.
