Nothing but proud of this Linfield Team. To do what they have all season and in the playoffs with the travel and played the #1 team in the nation down to the wire. Fantastic job! LINFI3LD 5TRONG!!!

I agree 100%.   After losing the largest group of seniors I had ever seen at Linfield in 30 years, this Wildcat team was a pleasant surprise this year.
To be so close to winning today should be notice to anyone in D-III, that we were better than a #10 ranking!!

Thanks coaches for another great year!

George

The loss clearly influenced that ranking, but to put you below 3 at this point would be unjust...

Congrats on a great season...

George Thompson

Here are my final rankings:

1.   WWW  (I really, really hope)
2.   Mt. Union  (Yesterday was low class)
3.   Linfield  (Bias of course)
4.   Wartburg
5.   John Carroll
6.   Mary Hardin-Baylor

Thank you again CATS for an amazing year.    Now, let's win it all in 2015.

George
GO CATS! GO!

Unless Mount wins the Stagg, then you could make a very good argument for John Carroll at 3.

Yeah--if Mount wins (especially if they win big) then you almost have to give JC #3 (or even 2 depending on the size of the outcome)....and if Whitewater wins then Linfield/Wartburg could be 3/4 or 2/3 (if Whitewater destroys Mt. U like last year).....
Go Cats!

It's best to have home games in the playoffs but we proved this year we can win big games on the road. Very proud of this team and their performance at Whitewater and throughout the playoffs. Two very evenly matched teams in the semis with a slight edge to Whitewater being at home. A couple plays here and there and Linfield advances. LINFI3LD 5TRONG!

Congratulations on a great season Wildcats.  You overcame so much. A great team with classy fans as well. Best wishes to all the seniors.  ;)

Such a wonderful time yesterday in the Perk with WC11, meeting DC1 and Calcat, and many of the Linfield faithful!   Can not say enough about what a class act your team, staff and fans are.  I don't even care if I am putting my Warhawk fan status in jeopardy by saying this, but my overwhelming feeling after the game was to feel way more disappointed for the Cat family than happy for my team.  From the amazing game in 05 to the incredible adversity your team and fans suffered, only 3 short weeks ago, and the games in between,  I have only love and respect for the Cats program.  I told WC11 after the game, I thought they were going to win, and that would have made me happy.  If not the Hawks in Salem, the Cats would have given me the same pleasure!  I hope to see it happen one day soon.  Congrats on a wonderful season!    Have a wonderful holiday season, everyone!    :-*
"Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!"  Dennis Miller

"Three things you don't want to be in football, slow, small and friendly!"  John Madden

"You can learn more character on the two-yard line than anywhere else in
life." Paul Dietzel / LSU

D O.C.

BTW....kudos to the special teams that blocked the extra point to put us in a position to win / tie the game.

Thank you Linfield Seniors for your great work for four years!!

Interesting stats on Riddle and Poppin in the very last paragraph.    For Poppin, only Carter and Allen achieved more yards!    Pretty heady company.

And, Riddle hit #4 on the list behind only Elliott (1 and 2) and Matthews.    Not bad for a sophomore!

Despite the sting of a loss to WWW, we are proud and the Wildcats will be back next season to take on any D-3 team, maybe WWW and  Mount Union (finally).

413 thank you and your crew for the hospitality and letting me hang with you guys. Even though we are foes for 60 minutes it's nice to know when we travel that  due to the D-3 network we are always made to feel welcome and dang....l thought we were going to get you in the end!  Pretty sure the Catdome will be pulling for the Warhawks back in Salem.

You're the best, 413!  Thanks again for the hospitality and warm welcome. I really appreciate the words and I just have to tip my cap to UWW getting it done once again.

I was mostly heartbroken on Saturday for the fact these guys don't get to spend another week together. That more than anything is why this playoff run was special. The wins were awesome but advancing each week was really just the ends to the bigger victory and that was staying together.  I don't think I've ever seen a team as tight as this one. It was an honor to tag along for the ride.

Cat Seniors of 2014,
Thanks for such an incredible season this year!! It is so tough to finish the season a game early and I'm sure it will take some time to get over.  But thankfully Linfield football is not just about football.  It's about family, friendships and learning what it takes to succeed.  You guys are perfect examples of that.  Next years team may go on to win it all and I sure hope they do, but you guys have helped lay the foundation.  I and so many others are soo proud of this season and how you showed us the importance of family and believing in each other.  Thank you!

FarAwayCat

And hat's off to UWW.  Damn, we were so close.  Looking forward to watching next week's game.  MU has a chip on their shoulder from last season and will for sure be prepared.  Should be a great game!  Good luck.
