Just tossing this around, what are any ones thoughts on Kickoff Predictions that the loggers could make waves in the NWC this year. ???
I don't buy it......and even the projected standings don't support it.   I think they may be better than last year but so will nearly every other team (except maybe PLU) in the NWC....I'm gonna try to go watch them against Claremont on Saturday--maybe I'll have more to add after that.

Willamette has some big holes to fill as well.

Only 26 freshmen on their 2015 roster as well....they got us fair and square last year but I'm not sure if they're trending in the right direction.

I think Whitworth is going to come on strong over the next few seasons.

I think they are 2 more classes ("bigger and better" so far under Sandberg) away from legitimately contending.

I think PLU and Willamette could struggle this year which may prematurely boost Whitworth's climb back up the NWC ranks. I will continue to pick against Pacific because nothing about them being good makes sense to me...2nd place for the Bucs?

Thanks for the input DT and MC I agree with both of you I guess we will have a clearer picture in a few weeks.

Hmmm. Just looked at the calendar. Halloween is on a Saturday this year.

That can mean play like hell in the day and then dress like the devil that night.

No repercussions on the George Fox game.

Does anyone know if the video feed for the  games west of the BIG MUDDY this year are going to need apple software. I know last year I couldn't watch the games on my smart tv unless I mirrored my wife's I-Pad. ;D

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

I'm picking the NWC as follows:

Linfield 7-0
Pacific  6-1 Loses to Linfield
Whitworth 4-3 Loses to PLU Pacific and Linfield
PLU 4-3 Beats Whitworth Willamette George Fox and Lewis and Clark - loses to UPS, Linfield, Pacific
Willamette 3-4 Beats 3 teams below it
UPS -2-5 Beats George Fox and PLU
George Fox 1-6 - Beats Lewis & Clark in the Linfield "Traitors" Bowl I
Lewis & Clark 1-6 Beats UPS

Conference Game of the Year - Pacific and Linfield

It appears the Wartburg cross-country teams had good races at Linfield this afternoon.

Go, you Boxers, Bruins and Loggers - get the NWC season started right.

Report from Claremont--UPS has moved the ball well in the air but keeps stalling near the end zone.  Their kicker has missed every attempt (aPAT and 2 shortish figs) so far.  Not much of a running game except when they bring in number 10 at QB to run it.
