I'll miss the carnage at Palatine today. Getting ready for Pathetic next week though.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Don't you two go running away when the kiddies graduate.
We need you on the NWC board.
Good stuff.

(BTW...22 hours is nothing for a playoff game or two)

Haha...I got 3 more years! ;D

Great game today.... glad to see the 3_4_5_6 guys out there. Great to see Locey back in the NWC also. He just doesn't have the horses yet and was very conservative on offense. I thought their defense was pretty formidable to start. Linfield only had 10 points in the first quarter if I recall? Then somebody started to get ... ..P...LOL!

Was very impressed with our QBs ... and running backs. The O-line is getting tuned up.

Why couldn't we punch it in from the 1? just wondering?

I'm thinking the defense is one of the best I've seen in a while.... !

Punt returns continue to be great along with the kicking game....

The receivers seem to be above average but nobody has had a breakout performance.

Go Linfield!

Sounds like St. Thomas is going to emerge from the MIAC?

Quote from Locey after the game:  "It was everything we hoped for really," said Locey after the game. "The defense absolutely did a great job and kept us in the game and kept it close. And then things got kind of ugly for a bit."

Imagine if they had not gotten what they hoped for? :)  He is right, it did get ugly for a bit (like the Cats' first 3 possessions)!
Go Cats!

L&C won the first quarter IMO being down only by 10. Their goal line stand when we got the ball at the one was impressive for them and simple unacceptable for us. After three games the Cats D looks solid, kicking game is solid, but the offense isn't there yet on any level. Kind of odd to say with a 73-0 victory but teams like Pacific, St Thomas, and UmHB aren't going to give us extra possessions where we can get things going.

I'd like to see much different play calling early in games. It seems that it is always run, run, then maybe run on third down. Can we not go uptempo with the weapons we have?

I agree with you mostly---though I think in yesterday's game there is no real reason to go up tempo, open up the playbook, etc.... I am concerned about the running game so far.  I think they need to get that rolling otherwise Sam is going to get pressured a lot more when we see teams with more solid defenses.
Go Cats!

OK. Sam's a runner. Against better defenses he can read he will run. Not getting hurt against the likes of Lewis & Clark though.
What we are all looking for is that great big breakaway chunk of yardage from our running backs. That may be a Smith secondary goal.  Or maybe just my dream.

or getting into the endzone from the 1 and then 3 yard line on first, 2nd, or 3rd and goal....
Go Cats!

My thoughts are #9 should be starting, pound there line for awhile. Then put in the dancers. The "D" and special teams are something to watch! Am sure the "O" will iron out the bugs, it isn't easy getting up to play Lewis & Clark, but with the target we have on us we can't afford any let downs no matter who we are playing. Was great seeing Linfield's future getting in lots of time!
Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

Lewinski and Clark went down :o to the Cats big time 73-Zip.  It was great to watch some of the young Cats get some PT.  Really liked our TB #9.

I'm liking #9 also, he doesn't mess around ...... would also love to see more short passes to Payne in open space. He's fun to watch in open field.

I'm not going to disagree about the short yardage stuff early yesterday.  It may be nitpicking but I think we're all thinking about the bigger picture and looking at this team with a critical eye.  I know some fan bases may roll their eyes at Linfield fans picking on a 73-0 win...but I get it.
