Ah, I just wrote a long post but my computer crapped out when I tried to post it...

The gist of it was: MHB was very successful on running to the outside of the Cats defense. It took Linfield a while to adjust, but they did (for the most part). UST will pound it down the middle if they are able to, and it will take a great game from the Cats DL to stop them. Specifically, Zach Grate and Drew Johnson will need to play stiff at the point of attack and allow the backers to make plays. I think Linfield sells out on the run and lets their corners play single coverage until they are forced to do something else.
Yeah--which means Caruso comes out passing early and we have to adjust to that instead! :)
Go Cats!

Oregonian article on Tom Knecht:
http://www.oregonlive.com/collegefootball/index.ssf/2015/12/post_10.html#incart_river_home

I'm kinda surprised by one word in the article. I'm sure Tom doesn't know the true meaning...but that's where a copy editor should come in. Sorry if I'm being too 'PC'...

I'm sure he doesn't know the meaning and you are being too PC.  It is a quote.  It would be inappropriate to misquote him.

It may not be necessary - but it's possible to alter the quote in an appropriate way. "I kinda felt [robbed] of..." or [cheated].

Too PC? Yes, guilty as charged. I've been to more equity and diversity trainings than I can count. Some were so ridiculous that I was looking around for Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute.

I didn't even know that word was offensive (to gypsies?) until you brought it up....and I live in Southern California!
Go Cats!

I didn't even know how that word was spelled. Nor did I know it had anything to do with any group. *The more you know*

I would love that! :D If UST comes out passing early, I think Linfield had a huge advantage... which means I will be completely wrong and UST throws for 300 this game.

Very possible the writer didn't even know.  As slurs go its such a commonly used phrase that I don't think many people know about it.  Hell, I'm an employment lawyer and I catch myself almost saying it from time to time.

This is just getting way to "PC" picky for me.  It's because of those kind of "over PC'ing" instances that people are wanting to vote for someone who is completely "non-PC".

"Gypped out" alerted someone?!
Go to your safe room and don't dare try to come out until you feel safer in 2016.
Wait! Is that the Chinese Calendar, or......!

There's no safe room, except maybe with the other SJWs in the President's Office on Palatine Hill?  No micro-aggressions allowed there.  ;)

FWIW: I never said I was offended. I said I was surprised that it got past an Oregonian editor (in our current culture). Portlandia is different. Just upstairs the Mayor is leading a 'symbolic' vote to censure D. Trump over his recent comments.

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

Way to PC guys.. come on... we all know what he meant.. our society is entirely to PC worried today and it is disgusting... it is perfectly okay to be offended in life... we shouldn't have to walk around in a bubble afraid to say or do something that someone will take offense to.. Heck.. just a few minutes ago I walked up to a person who had been riding what looked to be a vintage Peugot bicycle like I've got and I guess I interrupted her prayer session (somehow she was riding a bike and praying at the same time)... Based on her reaction I'm sure I "offended" her but she can suck it...

Very Continental, "Suck my Peugot."

Regarding this PC bullcrap, how about we give everyone on the planet a choice between a chill-pill and Insensitivity Training. I vote for Insensitivity Training. You know, the old "sticks and stones" advice dispensed frequently by your grandmother. We've all got our problems. Life's not fair. Hey, I'm fat and ugly. "Tough break, Bruce, get over it."
