Congrats on a great season for Linfield. Enjoyed watching your team battle today - some real talent on that squad although I was happy to see Tommie power win the day.

Sad to see the cats reach the end of their run. but I had a great time watching their season. (Except the semfinal that is Linfield has a classic look and feel to their game, I just enjoy watching them.  Best of luck in the seasons to come (Except when we meet up of course) But it will be great to see the Cats and the Cru face off in regular season 2016

Congratulations to the Wildcats on another outstanding season.  I attended the game yesterday, sitting just to the south of the Linfield fan section, and observed some outstanding talent on the Linfield team.  You simply ran into an exceptional team.  I've attended three UST games this year and they've all been basically the same.

I really wish the bracket had been set up for us to meet in the quarterfinals.  I think that would have been a nail biter.  Hopefully we meet again on the field.  One of the classiest fan bases in D3 and a great football tradition.

*  That is not a shot at UST.  I've said the same thing in previous years.

A little late to the party but heck of a program Linfield has. Riddle might be the 3rd or 4th Linfield QB I have seen making big time D1 type throws. Hitting deep outs without a strong plant foot and throws across the middle between levels. Legit. QB U for D3 perhaps. Was also very impressed with 10 on the D. Big time ball hawk and sure handed tackler. The play got to his level too often and every time he stepped up.

Hope the trip to St Paul for those that made it out treated everyone well.

I am absolutely positive that our program and our coaches dwell on this only long enough to glean what is necessary for adjustment and forward momentum.

Thanks all Cats and fellow fans for another exciting and fun year.  Always tough to end the season on a loss and be so close to that ultimate goal.     Has been a ton of fun to watch and I thank all the seniors for their time and dedication they put forth to continuing the Catdome success and legacy.  Thank you!

Congrats to the Cats....on a great season.

My take on the Game.

1) I previously said LF had to stop run.  Tommies were not fast, They ran away from #55. I did notice LF started moving him around. Should have done so after first series.
2) I have no idea what the DC was doing, Tommies were in a 22 formation (2 TE and 2RB) and I could only find 7 guys in the box. Where were the safeties ? Was this arrogance by the DC ? not sure I stay in base.
3) DE or outside defender, They were not prepared properly, especially opposite #55, can not be widen or swim around the block, created a lane. Sometimes you just need to squeeze play down. May the RB stop or bounce.
4) Where were the backers?, the announcers kept saying the LF D line was getting knocked back, not true, there was not fill by the LBs or Safeties. Should have be 8 or 9 in the box. I don't get the defensive game plan.
5) LF team did not look ready, concentration was poor, dropped passes in the first half plus turnovers just killed them. Game could have been very close in the first half with those two issues.
6) QB I do not get it, either play Riddle or not, wait until half ? not sure about that pregame thought process. Use one QB either way.

It was a hard way to end the year.  At the end of the day you just have to tip your cap to UST for beating us and be thankful that Linfield was once again in the position they were in.  There were over 240 something teams that would have traded anything to be in Linfield's place going into last weekend.

Coach Smith, his staff, and players have done a tremendous job over the past 7 season in making Linfield one of the elite in division III.  That last hurdle is getting to Salem and winning it all and I know that the 'Cats won't rest until this program once again raised the Bronze and Gold in Salem.  Go 'Cats!

Great season for sure. I am already looking forward to next year's team and the talent that the 'Cats return!
