Beg for a night game, humid and hot, could be 90/90 very easily at noon ....thier first games of the season are at night. Fly into Austin of possible.

Try the local BBQ and walk their complex. The football facility is better than half the D-1AA, visitor lockers better than most home lockers, etc...Facility  much better than Cal Poly for example. Blue ice crème not bad too.

Thanks Olddog...The 'Cats have played HSU in the mid day September heat a few times and it's a bear.  Yeah, the facility is second to none..really enjoyed it in the 2014 playoff game.

To the Linfield families planing on travelling to the Cruthedral, come and enjoy, these should be night games as the beginnning of the season are night (usually) Perhaps we could get the D3 Crufaithful to set up a nice tailgate...It would be great meeting up and seeing face to face. The Linfield game if by far the most worthy of such a meetup.

I'll be there. Will probably bring Mrs. OldCat along this time to enjoy your fine stadium facility. Was there in 2014 for a great game and hope to see another great game this year too.

My advice is to avoid sitting near the people pounding on the 55 gallon drums if at all possible.  ;D

I thought happened only at Hardin-Simmons. I must have left my hearing aids at home when we visited Belton in 2014.

My bad, I thought that when we played there a few years there was a group of individuals who pounded on 55 gallon drums.  I must be confused with some other place.  Ignore me.

Students used to bang on the 55-gallon drums when UMHB played at Belton High School. However, since moving into the comfy confines of The CRUthedral in 2013, there have been no drums at any game except for those in the band. Whitewater came to Texas in 2006 (regular season) and 2008 (playoffs) and played at Belton High School. I don't think the NCAA allowed the drums during the playoffs, but they would have been present for the regular season game.

I'm starting a new job next month and expect to be far busier for the next couple of years. I doubt that I'll be on the board anywhere near as much for the next few seasons. Wishing you all the best. Cheers, D

Congrats on the new job D-Train!  Best of luck on the future.

Thanks 11; this is a good thing. I just know that it will leave me with a lot less time to surf and chat during the workweek.  ;)

So?
Do what WC11 does, just surf and post during work.

Good luck!

Yey.
Finally going to get to that Salem, Virginia stadium for a look- see today.
