MHB sure got their revenge!   Key facts:
  Net rushing -           LC  +1,   MHB  +335
  Fumbles -                LC  3,     MHB  0
  2nd Half points -      LC  7,     MHB  42

OK, time to regroup and win 7 conference games.

Tough loss, Cats. Come back and take 'em in round two about 10 weeks from now.

Bad snaps. They have to count as some sort of yardage and they get counted as team rushing yards.

So... something tells me Spencer got away with juking in the street and on the playground.
This is not that.
If it's not going to work, move on, sorry to say.

So we were there and I give Linfield all the props, I could see Riddle didn't want to give up and they stayed in the game, Murphy just kicked in the door and announced his presence. The snap over the head, same thing happened to UMHB in the playoff...that ball took off like it was running for a touchdown all on it's own. The Cru ramped up their offense and  were clicking along, just as things got weird for Linfield. Linfield picced Blake and in the second half it was the other way around, just one of those things.

Both programs will do well, I pitty the next on the schedule and on to the playoffs who face the Cats, I predict some brutal losses are on the horizon, just take each one at a time.

I missed meeting some of the Linfield fans, just an interesting note, My sister has become a Linfield fan (Rooting for the cats will of course make thanksgiving interesting to say the least)  her name.. Is Lynn Field...

Next up--Lewis and Clark----with 2 weeks to simmer/prepare/fix problems---"I pity the fool".   ;D
Go Cats!

The second half wasn't Linfield football.....  That was even worse than the Wesley game.

The crazy thing is that we were still "in the game" at the start of the 4th quarter---and that's when the wheels fell off and ran us over and backed up and ran us over again......
Go Cats!

Yes, also noticed that discrepancy, but was not smart enough to know why.   Thanks for the info, Pat.

Got a chance to say hi to several Infield fans at the game last Saturday.  All were very cordial and respectful, just like I suspected. Gig Harbor, it was nice to put a face to a name.  I know the game hurt but I hope the hospitality of the Cru fans and their advice on eating spots, etc., took a little bit of the sting out.  Best of look for the rest of the season!
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Speaking of DFWcrufan's sister named Lynn Field:

During the Nebraska-Oregon game on Saturday the announcers noted that Nebraska Head Coach Mike Riley was formerly a teacher and coach at Linfield College. By accident I had closed-captioning switched on at the time and when the written comment appeared on the screen they spelled Riley's former employer as Lynnfield.

Hospitality and eating advice might work in April.

Well... learn from it and move on... I thought that the guys showed plenty of heart and kept battling. The ending got comical with the bad snaps and poor tackling on the 90 yard run. Blake Jackson is legit.  If, and it is a big if, MHB can somehow clean up their play they have to be a contender for the national title.  That D is going to be tough for anyone to run on with the big, strong bodies up front.  But, they can't have so many silly penalties as it will cost them big at some point in the playoffs.

Wow! Didn't see that score coming, but goes to show that even great teams can have a very bad day. You guys will bounce back quickly.

On another note, the Redlands radio team mentioned at halftime that there is a NWC-SCIAC scheduling alliance in development. They didn't give too much detail, but said teams would be matched up by their previous years record. Have you guys heard anything about this?
