Now that was what a good team like LINFIELD needs. A worthy opponent who comes out swinging and doing what they do best.

That score gives every team left an adrenaline boost. BUT! was that the 'CATS one down game a season like the Stagg last year? you gotta ask yourself.

Linfield Fans:  Congrats on the Cats win this afternoon.  It is tough to see this season end for the Cobbs, but I could not be more proud of the way this team represented their school and their conference.  A great game all around to say the least. Yeah some things (FG's missed, penalties) hurt us, but you have to give credit to Elliot for doing a wonderful job today. The best player in D3 for sure.  I am hoping for a Cats' run through the rest of the playoff bracket and a repeat in the Stagg.

Great game Cobbers & Cats!!

Thoughts on UW-Whitewater:

Well, I went to the UWW-St. John's game today, so I pronounce myself an expert!  ;D

-UWW (like all Wisconsin teams) has a HUGE O-line.  They seemed to wear down the Johnnies and break off some big runs in the 2nd half.

-The UWW defense is good, but the Johnnies made them look better with many stupid turnovers.  Yes, the defense should get credit for creating turnovers but the Johnnies could not hold onto the ball today.

-The Johnnies were able to pass on UWW when they weren't dropping the ball.  I think Elliot and company can pick the UWW d-backfield apart.

-Jacobs, the UWW qb, has an ok arm but he seemed to force the ball quite a bit today.  If Linfield can put pressure on him, they should be able to get a few picks.

Hey, it's been a busy few weeks!  What can I say?

I have to admit that I was looking forward to the post patterns war that would have taken place with a Linfield-St. John's matchup.  The WIAC posters are pretty lame.
