Obviously UMHB is favored, what with them being ranked #1 and being the defending champs. And they kicked our butts twice last year. I'm hoping that their youngsters cannot recover from blown minds after realizing there are Dairy Queen's in Oregon.

We must pressure the raw qb. We must create a turnover or 4. We must get offensive line play that inspires. Wilder needs to be a factor.

It's going to be fun, like always. I can't wait to hug you all.

Ick. Any talk about George Fox football is too much talk. Losers.

For me biggest key will be to contain Josey don't let him run like Jackson did. Make Josey try and beat you with his arm. With regards to offense...well I'm just happy Baylor Mullins graduated!
i imagine there are a lot of folks glad Baylor graduated! His first year on varsity i said he was the best player on the team and i think that proved out. I'm curious about the punter this year. we saw 2 straight away punts last week, and he has a better leg than baylor, but he is a former QB and i've been told we might see some Mullins like packages before the year is out.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Some of that looks like it has changed from what I can see Toby, Zane was a punter but he is now listed for Linfield as QB/TE the TE is intriguing. He is 6'5" and a QB meaning he's a good hands guy, and pretty fast at that. Not great acceleration but flat out speed he definitely has, cut him loose and he's gone. Kind of interesting take, TJ was a wide out, now he's QB,. Zane was a back up QB, and is now in the TE slot. And being 6'5" does not hurt. I think alot of the Crufaithful have been waiting to see what Zane will bring to the Cru, I think we see what Coach is developing there.
Caleb Chadwell looks to be the Punter, it looks like John Mowery is the K guy

and find a way to move the ball against the UMHB defense....  easy  ::)

If we can establish run like last week (l know that's not easy this week) l bet our passing game will do better....if not then we just will have to get Wild and go for it.
How much Wilder can we get?

Saw Baylor play live 4 times against the Cats and for my money he was the heart and soul of the defense.  If you just keep your eyes on him you would end up where the ball was...he nailed us a couple of times with the fake punts..Don't think you can replace a guy like him.

I guess we'll see how it's posted in the game notes. reading his roster bio it says he's taking over punting duties but lists him as a QB/TE.

Calcat, certainly not replaceable. not many LB/P's playing football, and probably even less that were QBs in high school

I remember a while back someone asked why this board was only frequented by Linfield fans, and nobody from any other NWC teams participated. To whoever that was, here's your answer.

They are just mad they play in the KittyDome.

GF played pretty well against Platteville on the road last week RFB.... you think your dogs will have a chance to beat the 3-4th best team in NWC? Should be a barn burner!

Should be a good one. I'm curious how you feel about Linfield being 1-1 already?

GustyJ,

Glad for some different posters.  Fox sucks but you're more than welcomed here.

I'm curious about how you feel about Redlands never beating Linfield or ever winning a playoff game.  I'll wait...

GustyJ... Any NWC school that has a couple National Championship trophies is OK with me.
Still fun to slap 'em around a little bit.

What?
We were 1-1 last year, won the NWC with those credentials, NCAA decided we had to travel first playoff game, won that, lost to the National Champions.

Here we are for your getting-tromped pleasure again.
