Inn's was a total stud... he's on the cover of a magazine ..... He was quite a passer! Pretty sure he would have passed to the guy in the end zone instead of dazzle dazzle?

"The Butcher" was pretty decent.... then in 2005 we had no running game and couldn't make 3 yards on the ground and run the clock out in the loss to UWW.

Pretty decent? "The Butcher" got his nickname killing pass defenses for two years, so I would say decent should not be attached to his name in any way. Him and Andy Collins were the best QB's I've seen at the DIII level, and I played with an eventual Gagliardi Trophy winner who couldn't win the starting QB job at Redlands when I was there.

I was being tonge in cheek with the "decent" commit... LOL!

sure—but when Inns was named starting QB people were like "Mickey Inns?"  Now—go back to 2011 stats and see what he did in his first game.  I know your lazy so here:

Second game was better (but against a bad LaVerne team)

Things got better as the season went on....

So maybe 11 has a point.   ;D
Go Cats!

I talked to Inns at a game last year. Nice person. All I can think of though is him crawling around on the catdome carpet looking for that fumble vs Oshkosh though.

Our qb's will be fine. Whitworth are paper rats. Their only claim to fame is an o line featuring NBC local anchor Kathy Marshall's son.

Watching ken burns Vietnam? Those who dare to ride the tiger end up being the tigers dinner. I think we know who the tiger is in this situation.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

You could make a case that Micky Inns was not an elite level QB (or a sure thing) when he first took over in 2011 (his Jr. year) but developed throughout the season, had a healthy Josh Smith for the offense to lean on, and then blossomed his senior season.

We just have to let these guys develop their own identity.  Linfield has been on an unprecedented level of success in the NWC since 2009 so I get that some Linfield fans are uneasy in being unsure where this 2017 team is headed.  I feel this could be a really dangerous team and it's unfortunate that the 'Cats road is so tough here to start.  You just have to keep faith in a staff that KNOWS what they're doing.
The faithful are still here and always will be. We have been eating at this table for a lot of season's sometimes there is no dessert but I have never gone hungry. GO CATS

Discussing Linfield QBs, we have among the best.     My favorites:

1.  David Lindley, 1984-1986   2 National Championships.    Led greatest comeback in 1984 national championship game; he was only a sophomore.
2.  Brett Elliott.    2004-2005.   Best passer at Linfield.   As good as he was, he had the best receivers ever at Linfield.    Especially in 2004.
3.  Sam Riddle.     Had great ability as both passer and runner.

In addition another 8 or 9 were very, very good.

Elliott
Lindley
Boehme
Sells
Riddle

In that order.

Probably one of the best moments I had in D3 (non-Linfield related) was doing the color with Pat on D3.com's radio call of the Willamette/UWW playoff game in 2008.

D O.C.

I listened to that.
Good contrast chemistry.

Love your analysis WildCat11.... this is the most anticipated contest since the SJU vs. STU game.

The other contest that will be stellar is HSU Vs. UMHB.
