I attended the game and there is absolutely no way FU had more fans. Their fans were 99% constrained to the visiting bleachers.

I sat in the home grandstand last Saturday because I don't need to stand in the rain for the 100th+ game to prove I'm a tough fan. It actually has me contemplating sitting up there more. Better visual perspective and I felt it was possible to have more of an effect on the game via cheering...The fans up there love Linfield like we all do, they just need some cheering help.

When do we get to start talking about the lutes?
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

You are correct sir and of those fans the majority were students.

Careful - you might wake up their one or two board posters...

I'm interested to watch the Linfield/PLU game this weekend.... I was told that their QB was recruited by Linfield but decided in the end to attend PLU because his sister decided to go there....maybe she plays on the team?  8-)

PLU is a trap game.  Especially if our offense remains banged up.

..... HaHaHa     ::) ..... I'd think Pacific would fit that bill better.... if they can win out, they play us the last game AT Pacific.... and if they beat us it could throw the conference into a 3 way tie for 1st place and then who goes to the playoffs?

My point is that PLU has a 3 loss record but has lost those games by 13 points combined (or 4.3 points per game).  They could be trouble if we can't get the offense going.

Agreed.  Their defense has been solid and the offense is banged up.  Could be a very tight game.

Sign me up!!! I'm in to contribute to improve our "improve the live stream fund".  The Linfield football program has been a "class act" for decades and we should have the best in class of a live stream program in Division III.  Add more cameras, pre-game, post game interviews, whatever is needed to be the very BEST, let's raise the funds and be in a class of our own.  Then we can stop debating over a few $$$ because we are a step above any other program in Division III.
To review a bit of history it was probably only a decade ago that there was no live stream and those of us that were not in close proximity to Linfield had to follow the Cats by the next day Oregonian or hopefully a friend who would call you and tell you how our beloved Cats performed on Game Day.  In my case my Dad would tape the games as they were broadcast on COX cable in the Valley and send to me via airmail so that I could watch the games on Wednesday or Thursday the following week.  Those days are past and now the internet provides us with the luxury of watching the Cats around the globe.
Let's resolve to make our broadcast the best in Division III and raise the necessary funds from alumni to do so....we've been a leader for 62 years and counting...let's go to the next step!.  I'm in!

You can send the money to me (cash only) and I will make sure it gets to the right people, that is after I make a quick stop at the Blue Moon on my way. Gren will be joining me for consultation and distribution advice.

There's an old timey phrase my Dad used(and executed) on me from time to time...
At about the :18 second mark of this vid there is an example of:
"A** over Tea-Kettle!"
"THE METTLE'S IN THE MEN!"

Andy Jamison - Walla Walla Wildcat

Looking forward to a tough PLU game and wondering if our offense is going to get back on track.  Things had been moving in the right direction after Willamette and Lewis & Clark but the wet windy weather against Fox made things difficult.  Both our #1 and #2 centers are hurt and I'm hoping that Will Heck wasn't seriously injured as that poor guy can't catch a break.

Fox was completely timing our snap count which is something that the offense needs to work on going forward.  I'd sure like to not have us looking over at the sideline so dang much trying to get a play as it seems to rush our QBs.  They need to have the last 10 seconds of the play clock to look over the defense in a calm, thoughtful manner.

Our D and Kicking game are going to keep us in games.  The offense has to do its part by moving the ball and avoiding turnovers which is something that they did pretty well on Saturday. I was stunned that GFU didn't try and return every single one of the kickoffs as covering them has been a huge problem for the Cats. The guy who sits next to me and I were very thankful that #22 for GFU didn't try and return all but 1 kickoff.  Hadn't they watched film!

I don't think there would be many run backs on the -7 yard line... and if there was a run back.... it would be a fumble and Linfield Field goal. I think we got the ball inside the red zone 4 times and came out with field goals. Thank you God of Field Goals... GFU didn't have that being on their side. If they did they may have won if nothing else would have happened.
