That Delaware Valley and Wesley part of the bracket is a joke. Throw Linfield and HSU in there lol. Geography always plays a role I understand that.

#5 HSU, #1 UMHB & then likely#4 St. Thomas just to get out of the Region.

At least UMU & UW-O are on the other side of the bracket, I guess.

Bring it.

Geography again dictates the toughest road, no surprises here.

Haven't been for years now.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Yes, the NCAA did it again to the NWC.    Why didn't they just flip Wartburg-Franklin with Linfield and H-S are?
That way, it lets both Linfield and H-S have a shot, beyond facing MH-B in round 2?     After all, they separated St. Johns and St. Thomas.
But, no, MH-B, H-S and Linfield are all together VERY early.

Yes, the brackets are still all about money and the prejudice against the west coast teams.    It is all a fix.
The Midwest teams simply do not want to face MH-B, Linfield or H-S early.

Look at this bracket:  you could argue that we are the underdog in every playoff game this year!   I would love us to play Wartburg, Franklin, Trine or Monmouth instead of these two tough Texas teams.     Unless we go 9-0 and win by an average of 50+ a game, we will never have any favorable NCAA playoff treatment.

Still another reason why we should not schedule 2,000 miles away D-3 teams.     We should have one game against old rivals Southern Oregon, Western Oregon or Eastern Oregon.   Most fans can at least drive to those teams.    A loss to any of those should not hurt us in ranking like a loss to MH-B.    One game each year vs. SCIAC is fine.

Whether it's in the early rounds or the semis or finals ... if you want to be National Champs you've got to beat the big dogs.
Reality is for those who lack imagination 😀

Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Come on, let's not act like we're surprised. Just happy we have a home game this weekend instead of having to go back to Texas.

Hell of a challenge for this Wildcat team. My thought is that I hope that our defense can keep us in the game and the offense continues to find some opportunities as the level of talent the 'Cats will face is increasing dramatically.  Let's go 'Cats!

Unfairness by the NCAA Playoff Selection:

1.  #5 Hardin-Simmons and #8 Linfield meet in round 1.    Then winner must play #1 Mary Harden-Baylor in round 2.

2.   St. John's and St. Thomas are on opposite sides of the brackets and will not have to meet until Salem!

3.   Linfield is in the Northwest Conference, not the South.   We should be slated to meet teams in the Upper Midwest, not the South.

4.   Mount Union plays no top ranked teams in the first two rounds.   And no teams in the top 10 until the Semi-Finals.

This happens virtually every year.
The teams from the upper Midwest and the East have it easy in the first two rounds, compared to Texas and the far West.

GO CATS! GO!

Like Wildcat 11 stated, "Let's not act surprised."
Getting sent to Wesley was the verbal abuse (bad analogy here?) and then last year's set up was the slap in the face.
We have a loss.
We did not beat teams 98 or 97 to nothing.
Giving away playoff games to St. Thomas, Oshkosh, or Wesley does not help with the committee.

Let's put together our best game of the year Saturday and play it as it lays.

+k. This is the best thing I've seen all day.

Here's hoping that y'all win and UMHB somehow gets knocked off in round 1. Then I'll come join y'all in Mcminnville for the round 2 game (as I'll be out there for T-giving) and look forward to welcoming you to St Paul the following week.
