That'll be Carroll's 3rd game of '18 and Linfield's 1st. Not an easy road game at all...

Gonna be tough...maybe another reason why D3's are lining up to the play the Frontier.

Not a good look for the Boxers:

That's rough.

A bit about Carroll and its conference. The Frontier Conference is one of the best in NAIA. In addition to Carroll winning 6 titles from 2002-2010 and playing for it 8 times from 2002-2011, a couple of its other members have started having success.
Southern Oregon won the whole thing in 2014, was the runner-up in 2015, and almost played for it again last year, but lost in 2OTs on the road in the semis. When they won it in 2014, Carroll was the only team in the playoffs that gave them a game (45-42). SOU destroyed everyone else in the postseason that year.

Eastern Oregon came w/in a hair of playing for the title in 2016, losing by 4 on the road in the semis to Baker (Kansas). If that name sounds familiar, it's because it's the school Linfield beat in '86 for the title. And the school the 'Cats defeated in the semis that season to get to the title game? Carroll College.  :)

Montana Tech has also won some playoff games during this time.

So, although Carroll has had a couple down seasons as of late, they made it to the semis in 2013 and, as mentioned, were knocked out by champ SOU as recently as 2014. It sounds like they will be much better this year than last, as they are returning a lot of players.
I was actually in Helena in 2004 the weekend Carroll played and defeated Central Washington, who at that time was a highly ranked D2 team. I remember it being a very nice venue. As WC11 mentioned, it will be a tough game, especially on the road. Very quality win if the 'Cats can pull it off.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

You left off how fun the bus ride will be for your Cats.......Frontier conference has some of the longest bus rides in college football...only other that comes close is the Rocky Mountain Conference in D2

Linfield's schedule is officially out.

Play Carroll on Sept 1st, Bye Week, Redlands on Sept 15th, Bye, and then open up NWC play on the road at Whitworth.

Not a fan of the stop and start nature of the bye weeks but I think it will be helpful in terms of recouping after the long bus ride out to Montana and back.

Overall 5 home games: Redlands, Willamette, L&C, PLU, and Pacific
4 Road games: Carroll, Whitworth, GFU, UPS
When I first saw Carroll, I thought Carroll (CCIW)!  Then you said Montana...  :(

So...even though Spring is playing fickle with the NW I hope you've checked in with d3football.com.

UMU qb Fulford is still dealing with that Florida charge and the next court date for the student is April 20th.

UMHB Qb Carl Robinson III has left school.

UMU Luke Poorman transferred to UMHB.

Where you been, big guy? The board is not the same when you're not here! I see you still look the same, not that there's anything wrong with that!
Hope all is well in Wildcat land. Mount Union begins exams Thursday and finishes up next week. Graduation May 12. I have been following women's lacrosse, only undefeated team (15-0) in Dlll. But, the strong teams are in the East.
Ah but I ramble. Glad to hear from you.
Go Cats. Go Raiders. Oh hell, Go Everybody. ☠🏈😀
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

We have 1 proven stud running back returning with Nnoli (Jr.) and two promising RB's who took grey shirts last year due to injury in Tanner Earhart (https://www.hudl.com/video/3/2092708/5834098cc124d813c823df87) and Artimus Johnson (http://www.hudl.com/profile/2658081/Artimus-Johnson) who will both be Frosh eligibility. Dawson Ruhl (Soph) also did some great work out of the backfield in the receiving game as well.

The 'Cats will be strong at RB in 2018 and beyond.

D is in rebuild mode with a large group of young, large, and talented LB's. Pipitone will be the Senior spokesman at LB to lead what could be a blockbuster Sophomore group of 'Cat backers.
