Congrats Whitworth.

D3 schools know what they're signing up for regarding the auto playoff bids. But the downside is the inevitable results w/ some of the conference champs being allowed to "compete."

Some of the scores today were simply absurd for playoff teams. 84-6??? 56-0 before halftime???

Who doesn't think SJU's 3rd or maybe even 4th stringers win that game? I don't know if matchups like this even qualify as competition.

I really hope Whitworth upsets St. John's.

Early this am, D3 website had the conference results of all playoff games the last 11 years.     It was quite illuminating about the huge disparity in the conferences.     But, that table has been removed.

Yes, St. Thomas, UW-Oskosh, Hardin-Simmons and the better NWC teams could have beaten several conference "champions" yesterday.    The NCAA is a giant battleship and does not change direction easily or often.     So, what happened yesterday will be repeated in the future.     We just have to accept it.     But, some of us can grumble about it.

Anyway, onto to next year for this Linfield fan.

It's in the same spot it was yesterday, in all four playoff recap stories:

However, as long as the Presbyterians don't start diddling little boys, Whitworth fans and alumni will be the real winners...

What is that supposed to mean?

Appears Rat has some issues.

Could you elaborate on this (509)Rat? Not sure what you are referring too?

D O.C.

Personally, I didn't think so, but apparently
Perhaps there's a very local Spokane story we're not privy to.

The Versus Sports Simulator is predicting a 49-11, St John's win against Whitworth. I'd definitely be pleased with an outcome like that!

Sadly I don't think that final score would shock me. I think St. John's is better than everyone not named Mt Union and Mary Hardin Baylor, and is good enough to beat either of those two.

Didn't really think I'd have to spell that one out...

Whitworth is affiliated with the Presbyterian church which has not been known to molest young boys.

The Catholics on the other hand...

When you can't win the football related banter, take it to the gutters.  Say hello to your mom while you're in the sewers.

And even then, I'm not generally inclined to come to the support of the Johnnies or the Catholic church's handling of its scandal but... uhhh.. it doesn't take an extensive Googling to turn up similar crap in the Presby church. I hate when it's used as a defense of the Catholic church's bungling, but nobody is immune to this garbage so using it to score points? Stick to the football field, Rat. Your team MIGHT score some points there next week. Probably not though.

PC should mediate this before it goes any farther.
Or YOU (509) can delete that which has nothing to do with the upcoming game or the playoffs in general.
Just sayin'.
(please)

Agreed. I'd be happy to have my response stricken from the record
