GO CATS'

spiritof86

Scoring will be the norm for the 'cat O on Saturday. WW will get some yards, but will also suffer some bad to's. The last time the 'cats lost when i was watching live was in MN vs SJU 2 yards ago. Oh wait....maybe I should stay home. Anyway, word says the 'cats are ready.

My favorite running back was Haberberger, just way too bad he goit hurt like he did. He was tough, fast, explosive...
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

I have beem following the Cats for 4 years now and they have only scored under 40 once while I was there. Menlo this year (38). I have only seen them behind once, last year to SOU and they came back and layed a whoopin' on the Raiders. They have given up only two TDs in the last three games I've seen. :o 23 hours until I hop in the jalopy and start my trek north to see another Cats win!!!

D O.C.

Clarification please, who will be attempting field goals for the WILDCATS?

Yes he does, and if they don't hit the ground or at least grunt in pain then he didn't hit them hard enough

We can use a few of those kinds of hits on Saturday.  I loved the way the D was smacking Willamette around.  Those kinds of hits you can feel right up to the top of the stadium.

I imagine it will still be John Dailey since he's the only place kicker we have on our playoff roster.

after last week I am sure the whole team is going to come out and proove  that last week was not the team that they really are. The D is going to show UWW what hard hits feal like and the O will show them just how slow we are when making our why into the endzone

Is it just me, or is there not as much trash-talking from the WIAC crowd on our board as there was last week from the Cobbers?  Did CobberNation ever come back on here for his roast crow and side of humble pie?

I just spent some time on the WIAC board. I see our posters have been very busy over there--one page was about 90% Linfield posters--which explains why our board seems kind of quiet.

For those of you who have not spent much time over there, what I saw were several WIAC posters saying we have slow receivers and one poster, who says he's seen film of Linfield and was not overly impressed (later back-tracking), had the following to say:

When I am saying a higher level I mean like Elliot did (play D1 and start), and when I said they have reached their potential.  I was saying that they don't look like a bunch of outstanding athletes that could go on and keep playing ball (like an elliot).  There are some very good athletes on the team, but most are just like other D3 athletes "hungry and play with a lot of heart" nothing to knock their game I played in D3.  If you would have read the other part I said that they looked really good on film.

Three3's:  Are you a coach / player?  If not, how do you have access to the films?

I am a former player for the university that sometimes helps out with the secondary.

spiritof86: What d3 team has a bunch of guys "capable of playing at higher levels"?

No team has this on their roster, but the way your team has been described by many I was expecting to see that on film.  You seem worried about the quote, just because I said that doesn't mean I don't think they are good d3 player. They play this game to be the best that they are not making it to the NFL so that is not something they should take offense to.  I just made a statement based on how people talk about all the talent that is on that team. They are beatable just like St. John was or we are that was my point!

my perdiction since it is requested is

Whitewater 36  Linfield 19

36-19?  Talk about numbers out of a hat. What score combinations would come up with that? Let's see, UWW would have to have 4 TDs and 3 field goals or 5 TDs with a missed extra point and a safety. Or how about 12 field goals.  Linfield would have to have two TDs, a safety and a field goal. Or two TDs a missed extra point and two feild goals.

If he just randomly picks numbers like that, it makes me question his ability to break down film.

OK guys , since it has been a stressful week at work ( collected lots of cans and bottles)  Ive decided to go with electric super high octaine longies this week.   :o  I'm soing this in honor of the Butcher and the boys high octaine O.  I'm heading down on Friday, the only thing that is up in the air is weather to bring MOJO the hound doggie.  He was a wildman last week, even dropping a deuce in front of the motorhome.  See you at the Elks for gamefilm.

Cats by a +17 on this one  could be more.

Weather is not a factor here

      No beaver sightings--no show ???

Cats in a rout   Phone it in Its in the bank boys

Let the purple frisbees fly for the Cats

Google Fulton Bell.

His prediction of 36-19 seems a bit odd.

I am ready for a longie. Or two.

Breaking News:  This just in, the Wisconsin fans are predicting.....RAIN.......in OREGON.......  I spoke with Coach Locey who said he is so concered with the rain affecting the Cats passing game that he is revamping the entire offense for this weekend.  The cats are gonna come out in a Wishbone formation with double tight ends and grind it out!
Go Cats!

Wildcat'64

If the Wisconsin fans are predicting RAIN.....I hope they be sure to bring their umbrellas and crying towels.  Since the visitor side is Open Air they will need the umbrellas to keep the rain off and the crying towels can be of dual use of course.

Since it rains the vast majority of the football season in the Northwest it seems to me that every kid that plays football in the Northwest has probably played more games in rain than they have in the sun....
LEAVE NO DOUBT

WOW, depressing? How is  sunny and 75 in December depressing? Baseball, THE SUN....works for me

Yeah but it's sunny in December, January, February, March... you get the idea. Don't you like a LITTLE variety?  Not counting the occassional earthquake of course...  :D

I grew up in Idaho. So I had enough snow and crap. Lived in Palm Springs for a couple of years. Got spoiled. I know it's hotter the heck in the summer, 128 the day I left to move here. Variety is nice but not 3 months of rain. Otherwise Oregon is great. When it's nice there's no place better.

My favorite RB was Marty Williams. Great guy and a million dollar smile. He worked for me as well. Oh and he was a heck of a runner as well.....a brusier

O.K.  I'm officially excited now.  LC vs. UWW #1 vs. #2 AND USC vs. UCLA all in one weekend.  Now of course, USC had the better team but in a rivalry, anything can happen!!!  Much like Linfield is a slight favorited over UWW but let's face it......we can talk all we want about who is better and what the score will be but we'll know for sure in about 54 hours (for the D3 game).  I've looked at stats for both teams and have tried to come up with a realistic idea of who will win and how they'll do it but in the end, there is no clear prediction.  I think both teams are going to have to bring all of their cards to the table and do some things they haven't done this season.  I still say Cats try to run a little more and UWW is going to have to rely less on Beaver and more on the passing game.  Dang, my only regret about this weekend is that I'm down in SoCal and not up in Mac at the Cat Dome..........SO jealous of all those making the trip.
Go Cats!
