Hey GHC, fire up the G5 , it's lute week.   8-)

Go cats,
Go big d

Is Lute week still a thing?
For what it's worth, I didn't think the Lutes were as bad as that score or their season record would suggest.  Defensively, they gave the Cats more trouble than a lot of the other teams to date.  There was pressure on the QB all day and you could see how that threw off Wyatt's game.
Go Cats!

GeoFo turns out to be an interesting game next week. Looking forward.

Fox has a strong defense for sure.

Speaking of defense

The top rushing defense in the NWC over the past 20 years was Linfield's 2000 team.  They only allowed 58.8 rush yards per game.

The 2021 Linfield defense is on pace to eclipse that with only allowing 51.2 rush yards per game so far.

Cats need to be ready for GF next Saturday at the Catdome. GF comes in undefeated in conference and if they knock off the Cats it will sure mess  things up from our perspective. If GF were to knocks off Cats... they  have Whitworth for their final game and if all three win rest of games with GF losing to Whitworth you then have all three with only one conference loss. GF with that defense has probably their best ever shot at the Cats...more pressure on offense...l think the offense will be ready to meet the challenge that GF's outstanding defense will bring to the Catdome. "Leave no doubt".

LF is bigger, stronger and faster. LF fans hype up their opponent too much. UR controlled GF and we all know what LF did to UR at UR....humbled us pretty well thank you
LF is a semi finalist, unless they get MHB in round 2

These Linfield fans do tend to sandbag quite a bit, even with their best years/teams. But I appreciate it as a gesture of class and humility - and I certainly prefer it over the other extreme.

As they say, on any Saturday, anything can happen.    In 2014, LF had an excellent team.   They lost in the semi-finals to UW-W by only one touchdown in Wisconsin in mid-December.     UW-W went on to win the Stagg Bowl.

Yet, in McMinnville, LF was upset during the regular season by Willamette, a team that finished 5-4 for the year.

In the "anything can happen" category, it's tough to top Linfield vs. Willamette in 1983. By the second-to-last Saturday of the regular season, the Wildcats were defending national champions and had already beaten Pacific Lutheran in Tacoma. The 'Cats were 6-1 with hiccups in the season-opener at Southern Oregon and then against Puget Sound at home, a game forfeited by the Loggers within a week or so for using an ineligible player. Willamette, meanwhile, was not only 0-7 on the season but had lost 15 straight over two seasons. The final in Salem: Willamette 26, Linfield 21.

Unfortunately, before my Linfield time.
My first game was the national championship in 1984.   My son was a senior at LF, not a football player.   He told me about how fun LF games were.    Finally, he dragged me to that game.

In the 3rd quarter, we were down like 21-0.   I said to Rex, and why are we here?   Then QB David Lindley, one of our best ever, took charge.   The sophomore led LF back to win the game and NAIA championship.    I have bought season tickets ever since.

GO CATS! GO!

Fox had less than 70 yards of offense on the day before that last late 4th quarter drive against the 2's.  There are some key seniors but this is still a younger defense with several freshman eligibility players getting significant time.

'Cats offense took what Fox's defense gave them and had multiple long drives.  Obviously the missed FG's keep the game out of the mid/late 40's.

Impressive physical performance for the 'Cats.

No more hype please, Cats just need to get healthy for playoffs at this point and hope they get the Dogs instead of HS...

Blue,

D3football.com doesn't direct what banner adds you see.  Google determines that based on your browser history to target things that you would be more interested in.  Right now, I have an advertisement for stand up paddle boards because I bought two of them this past summer and spent a crap ton of time researching them.
