Linfield vs Redlands Playoff Highlight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJA1WAE5qNE

Nice work.

Good luck to the LF, ...on a side note I have to admit I was off making LF a 28 point favorite..but close enough for my smite fans. UR improved quite a bit over the season. We actually stopped the run well. I think LF will see DCs playing the run like UR did, some of it was just playing better, stopping combo blocks better, not working up field or overrunning. Don't ask me what happen on the passing game. A couple times LF caught us in two deep and we don't play a lot of it, other times the safety just read the routes wrong failed to support...LF found him to their credit. On offense we actually ran the ball decently but your pass rush and coverage was outstanding. Martinez did not have a good game and some of it was just due to good play on LF side.

NWC and SCIAC is really just one big league at this point, so Go Cats...MHB looks vulnerable this year. Their offense is not as good as the past.

Possibly true. We did put 28 on HSU in the second half and held them to zero. We'll see. You never can tell what our coaches are going to call.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Greetings Cat Fans;

Fond memories of our trip to McMinnville back in December, 2003.  Gorgeous day with a fantastic sunny bus ride from the Portland airport.  If I remember correctly there were days of torrential rain prior to the game but as mentioned when game day arrived so did a perfect day on the Linfield campus.  You guys did a great job creating the "illusion" of "The Catdome".  We don't see those types of "domes" in the midwest.

The cast of characters and actors that day were monumental, from fans Dick Hall and Johnnie Red, to Sports Illustrated writer Austin Murphy it was a gorgeous, highly competitive, historical and triumphant day.  SJU Coach Fasching won't be the only casualty Saturday although there's still a chance he may make an appearance.  I'm on the tail end of C19 myself and am a game time decision.  For those of you suffering C19 I pray for you, for those making the trip, enjoy your travels and enjoy some relatively mild weather and a fantastic small college football matchup.

Johnnie Red stayed at my house the Friday night before the game. It was a pleasure to meet him. I hope he is doing well although I haven't seen him post for quite a while.

Whatever did happen to Johnnie Red? He gave me a copy of the Austin Roberts book and the hardbound glossy national championship highlight book.  Pretty nice stuff, huh.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

The johnnies look damn good. Tough one Saturday.

I've run through all the scenarios- if Linfield takes care of the ball, we will win.

Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Ah! Oh!  Yikes!!!  The D3 experts picked Linfield.    Even Frank.   Now I am worried.

So, why did we have to travel 2,000 miles?     There should have at least been a coin flip for home field advantage.   NCAA is a biased group.    Very unfair.

Despite the worry, I have great belief in this year's Wildcat team.    Linfield wins, maybe 28-21.

Why? Just because you don't like the results?

Among unbeaten teams, St. John's was seeded higher in the bracket based on their strength of schedule. If that wasn't enough, the part of the criteria allowing the committee to use the teams' performance in the previous playoff as a tiebreaker would also favor St. John's, seeing as Linfield lost in the first round last time around.

Pat, I have long believed the NCAA playoff format is flawed.   Every team that reaches the 2nd round and beyond should have a good chance of having a home game.   If you won in the first round, why not?

Regarding the 2nd paragraph, I understand what you are saying.   But to compare this year's Linfield to the one of two years ago is ludicrous.   75% (estimate) of the players are different.   Punishing this year's team based on 2019 is unfair.    But then who ever said the NCAA is fair?

But, hey, Saint John's could whomp on us, for what little I know.

Looking forward to this stern test for our young team.

George...criteria...criteria...criteria without it we would have chaos. SJU earned home field based on criteria. Fans always want a home game but l guarantee the team is loving their trip to Minnesota/ Collegeville so just kick back and enjoy tomorrow and please quit whining about NCAA. They don't care you are butt hurt over selection process which is as fair as it can be based on CRITERIA.
