Linfield vs L&C highlight: https://youtu.be/e2eQdfh7CWk
Thanks 11--tried to watch some of the game from my phone at Pomona but Lewis and Clark video is always a very wide shot and the internet didn't cooperate well.  Nice to see so many guys getting in on the action.  I'm curious if anybody knows the status of the Pio player who got hurt (?)
Go Cats!

There was an article in the News Register about the game and at the end they mentioned the players name and that he was injured and taken to a hospital. They said at press time L&C had not responded to their request of the status of the player. I'm sure he got the care he needed. If anything more comes up I'll let you know....

can't think of a time we've talked less about a team ranked in the top five nationally. When the bracket was released, a glance at their quadrant drew the eye to the Wheaton/Bethel game, and that pod of Southern teams. Quick, name a Linfield player. No, Wyatt Smith is not the quarterback anymore, but nice guess.

The above is from Keith in today's surprises/disappointments article. Now Keith was praising the Wildcats but I've felt this from many corners of D3 this year that Linfield is just a bunch of no name dudes running around on a soft schedule.

It's comical because this team offensively, besides the QB, is the EXACT same team last year that played in the quarters to go along with knocking of SJU at home. This team is also the same defensive line that was one of the best in 2021 and is again one of the best in 2022. This 2022 group has also developed an elite punt return team as well.

Yeah, it's a killer part of the bracket but I think Linfield is being way too easily dismissed as a player over the next few weeks

Agree.    Except for Huntingdon, LF has not been challenged.    Of course, that will change in the playoffs.

2) PP, QB is not 6'3" 230, close to 6 foot, maybe 6'1"...215#, saw him in person last year, he does have a nice head of hair ...I dont know if he keeps in a man bun during the day, He is a good athlete, he does not pick up the second or third read well,...LF rush is better that UR, it will be interesting how LF spies him, one guy or two. He wont beat you throwing it deep..
3) LF by 24 plus...it will be over at half.
4) You guys may not get the local news hear but the Whittier waited until Weds to tell the players, fired coaches on Monday, told players on Weds, Admin would not respond to the local reporters...Such a poorly ran place with so much potential...

I've got Linfield picked to make the semifinal and wouldn't be surprised to see them give North Central a run for their money.

The luck needed will be that no one gets frostbite.  For game time, we're looking at 13 F with an 18 mph NW wind for a -4 F windchill!  Gonna be a chilly one.  Thankfully, the wind should be coming from our backs.

Ice Bear loves the hair comment and urges this detail not be excluded from any conversation about the PP, QB moving forward.

Ice concurs. While Ice was admittedly skeptical of Linfield because of a weak schedule, as time has passed this season, and after looking at both the team's performances this season (handling their business) combined with all their returning players from last years impressive W over SJU, Ice is starting to think Linfield will be kicking lots of kitty liter on opponents during these here ****ing playoffs. Ice says we shall see.
