3 to Allen
1 to Hazenberg
1 to Kaluza....not in this order...and the 6th slips my mind.

Cat offense looked good today. Defense started slow, letting WOU march down on their first possession. Then they hardened up and looked great.

For an "improved" WOU team playing at home, the Cats had no trouble at all with them.

Plenty of penalties for WOU, will be interesting to see the final count, but it was at 85 yards part way through the 2nd quarter. Several dumbass personal fouls from their D. I guess #51's red mohawk kinda sums up their attitude.

Not thinkin' a red mohawk goes over well on Coach Locey's team...

Come on Back2Back, you gotta be kidding me with that reply.  All I am saying is that is was nice to see players go out and play and not act like they are making millions of dollars, which if that was the case, they can do whatever the hell they want.  I am not a PLU fan, and was glad they did lose the game, but it was "nice" to see these guys act like men.
If this board is about coming on here and talking crap to others and acting like an a-hole, than have your fun.

You think that's what D3 Football is about?  Sounds like the only loser today was you.

Hey back2back,

I don't know if you're trying to be a troll or what, but please stop giving Linfield fans a bad name and show some class.  Also, before we dump on PLU having a down year, please remember that they put the NWC on the map so the conference gets the respect it deserves.

News Flash:  Student-athletes playing hard but fair IS what D3 is all about. Tom Brady's post was right on. Get a grip.

I'm not going to get into a back and forth posting fight, but I just thought it was great to see both teams play and act like they did.  I have been around D-3 for plenty of time and I would rather watch the small schools duke it out instead of the big schools dance around on the field after a 3 yard run.  Obviously you are a Linfield fan and I really enjoyed watching them on ESPN last year (sorry if that "nice" comment bothers you) and look forward to seeing them on TV again, unless something really crazy happens.  Thats all I have to say on the subject.

Tom Brady

Geez, I feel so welcomed now...

Come to the Catdome next week and watch some helmets fly. Oh, ya, you'll also see real men help other real men up . . . puleeeeeze, enough with the Lute worship. Linfield put the NWC on the map for those w/o good memories. Let's not forget 82, 84, 86.

wc2viking

Well, I'm a Linfield alum so certainly no Lute 'worship' here!  (I think even Lutes would consider that blasphemy.)  Just to clarify, I think PLU's run to the D3 title in 99 gave the NWC  a national profile and helped guarantee that the NWC would almost always get 2 playoff bids.

That said, I hope Linfield rolls up 60 on them this year.

catinwi, I'm a little shocked you wouldn't give your alma mater more credit. anybody who's followed NWC football over the years knows that between Linfield, Willamette and PLU the conference has fielded national caliber teams for decades, dating back to the early 1960s when Linfield played for the national title. PLU's '99 run was remarkable, I agree, but to place all this credit on the Lutes' shoulders a little overkill. If the Lutes hadn't paved the way, Linfield would never have had the Perfect Season in 2004? I went to the first round game in '99 when PLU came from way back in the fourth quarter to win its toughest game in the playoffs. Who did the Lutes beat? Willamette.

Gig Harbor Cat

Well now everyone was right about WOU being a better team this year, last year we put 49 on them in 2 quarters, this year it took 3 quarters. WOU did excell in cheap shots, late hits all to no avail.
Great first outing for the Cats
Congrats
Great to see everyone at the tailgate action,  It was intense,  normally the High octaine Tea lasts to the half but you guys took care of it before the kickoff, what a bunch of studs ;D.  See you all next week at the Catdome

Well said, back2back.  Let's talk about Linfield putting the NWC on the map in 82, 84. . .wait a minute, the NWC didn't exist back then.  Oh, I hate it when the facts get in the way of a really insightful post.  Good effort, though.

WildcatinWI...

I only complain about that clown when it's his fault.  The Beancounter has set me straight on the complexities of the kicking game and the multitude of things that can happen.  These were clearly bad snaps.  However the slappy didn't let me down in the third quarter when he forgot he was the kicker and picked up a personal foul for pulling a guy down by his facemask and then running his yap like he actually blocked him.

Typical WOU today, all bark no bite.  They may have gotten more talented but they didn't get any smarter.  100 yards in penalties in the first half, are you kidding me!
