great season for the cats. even with the loss, the cats had a nice season. no better way to end the season than with a hard fought game. a close one makes it hard, because of the "what ifs" but its better than a blow out.

i hope that linfield work on 2 things: running the ball and a shut down d!!!!!!!

Newsregister game article on Linfield vs. Whitewater

Linfield shocked in Quarterfinals

Hey Downtown48,

I really think you need to get a better picture of the CatDome!  Now that I have seen it in person, this one just doesn't do justice to how nice it really is, especially the track and field!  Just a thought!

SeoulGuy, The interview I was talking about was the immediate postgame interview w/ the coach and the UWW QB. There was a direct link to it from the Warhawksfootball.com website as of yesterday and was about 18 minutes long. I listed to the entire thing. Today it has been replaced (and I can't find the one that was up yesterday anywhere) with a sit down discussion with the coach and several of the players and this one is 19 minutes. He discusses last Saturday's game as well as the 1966 game in this interview. Did you listen to the postgame interview right after the game? I am wondering if we listened to two separate interviews.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Yea, I've got issues with the files...I don't really have a better one and I can't copy and paste a shortcut to the profile...anybody have any ideas or better pics?  I did change the caption though... ;)

Glad you had fun on your trip, I'm sure the result helped, but, what a game.  I'd usually be sour grapes and pissed about the L, but that game was a treat to watch, just wish it ended different! :'(

DenSLA,

I'm sure there are better sources (i.e., game film), but for what it's worth, the Newsregister game article that Wildcat11 just posted describes Elliott's fourth quarter fumble as a strip:

"On third down at the 'Cats' 41, Elliott was stripped of the ball by Robb Widuch and Ryan Ogrizovich took it down to the Linfield 4, but was stopped on a touchdown-saving tackle by McKechnie."

There it is on slide 97 of ATC's show...Brett's arm getting hit and the unsung hero who got him.
I was wondering how he got out ahead of his blockers in slide 96.
That interception/touchdown really boosted the Warhawks away game mentality.

and dee, this is not an answer to your input.  I was typing while you were.

ATC

DenSLA,

There was also some film from one of the news stations that I saw that showed the play as it was coming towards the camera and he was striped as he was tackled....no doubt about it.

D O.C.

OK guys...just Photoshop him dropping the ball in your profile then.

I knew he was chased but I saw.....

ATC nice photos. Is any one else playing in any post season game besides Elliott and Allen? Coach Locey headed to the Hula along with Casey?
The great blessing of mankind are within us and within our reach; but we shut our eyes, and like people in the dark, we fall foul upon the very thing we search for, without finding it

Usually the D-III AFCA coach of the year makes the Hula Bowl trip. I think that is basically always the coach of the national champion.

Duff,

It's been pretty slow in here since Whitewater stole our lunchmoney when we weren't looking.

We're just trying to figure out what top flight D1 player we're going to have transfer in this spring.

Reggie Bush does have one more year left....he'd look good in purple and red.

downtown48

Could you imagine that...how reduculous would that be!!!

By the way, how bout the Minny board...as big of donkey's as we can sometimes be over here, I don't think we've gotten locked out before!  Classic! :P

DuffMan

Hmm, my post disappeared.  Oh well, must be some glitch ;)

WC11, UWW stole our lunchmoney and beat us up.  That's hard to take.  SJU's on the lookout for some D1 transfers, as well.

A tradition unrivaled...
