Tez--I have heard a lot of those rumors too...I think Vince Young is coming since he feels he got shafted in the Heisman.

The look on his face was priceless.......Come on Vince you really didn't think you had a chance did you?

Oh heck, since they already have the appropriate attitude and path to the Stagg, why doesn't Division III go back to a 16-team format, the last two teams standing play for the right to play MUC, which gets a 4 game bye, whether they win their conference any given year or not, in the Stagg.

Better yet, get rid of the 16 game format and have Mount vs SJU every November. Any of the other D3 teams can join in the New England post-season tourney.

Would you forgive me Dens if I sent out the AP release I just received on Bush and Young transferring to the Cat Dome?

Jason Hart -- AP NCAA DIII Catdome Writer

December 16, 2006 --  McMinnville, OR --  Linfield College has announced that  two Division I football players will be transferring to the "Catdome Nation" upon the conclusion the spring term at their respective schools.  Reggie Bush, Heisman winner from USC, and Vince Young, this years Heisman runner-up, have both committed to Linfield College and will partake in Spring practices.

"I truly believe that a degree from Linfield rather than Texas will help me in all of my future endeavors after football," Young was cited as saying.

Linfield College currently holds the longest consecutive winning season streak in all of college football.  "Why wouldn't you want to be a part of history like that," Bush asked rhetorically at a recent press conference.

The Wildcats of McMinnville, OR were 2004 National Champions and held one of the longest current winning streaks in Division III football until they were upset by Wisconsin Whitewater, the eventual 2005 Division III National Champions.

"We are excited about the explosiveness they will bring to our team, however, they will be at even par and have to compete for a position this spring," said one source close to the team.

Go ahead and register in on the chat board and you can get my e-mail address or give it to your parents and have 'em e-mail me and I'll send it to them. :)

I want all of you who have not subscribed to the kinder, gentler WILDCAT NATION to just let those perceived digs at LINFIELD in the poem blog go.

Be happy with the d3 coverage you got this year.

After all, as the snow falls on the playing field tonight all is right with the world for the fabled favorite son MUC is back in the bowl and all is familiar once again.
