The big question is whether SP's new receivers can get open and their big O line can give Borchardt time to throw.  11 thought highly of Borch's performance last year and mayby that experience will translate into 3 or 4 scores.  Cats 45..SP 21.  A few months back LB thought Linfield might have 3 or 4 serious challenges this regular season.  Now that teams have played a game or two, still think so?

KennethK,

You have suddenly become a brilliant man.  Our theory is that if we can first beat them into submission on the message board that helps create the atmosphere for victory on the field.  :'(

It's never too late to get enlightened.

You mentioned our D in a prior post.  So far it's met the first game test quite well and we hope it augers well for the rest  of the 50th winning streak season.

When you have a once in a 10 lifetimes team is it possible that we can be forgiven for being insufferable?

We'll be back to being our normal well mannered selves next year but hopefully with another piece of hardware in our trophy case.

Dare I confess I never played the game since 9th grade and sucked so bad that I am taking out my ineptitude on whoever I can under the cover of anonymity. :(

D-Train - How could he not like GHCs Longies.  The Tailgates would not be the same without them   :o (alias Topcat.  Now if I could only figure out how to transfer my Topcat Posts over to pezcat so I would get  my numbers back  ???

Hey TuxGuy.  You still there.  Haven't seen you for a while and wondering if you are still around.  Are you going to the TG Saturday and if so, need more propane for the great Teriyaki.  They go great with GHCs pick me uppers.  I still have a couple of canisters so let me know if you need any.

Kenneth, I don't mean to pick on you and just you.....but I find it amazing your obsession with the UWSP offense, ignoring one basic fundamental of Linfield football since Brett Elliott arrived on the scene.

That being, *who is going to slow Linfield's offense down*?   You, like many others, talk the opponents' offense scoring on Linfield's defense.   The real key to beating Linfield resides on the other side of the football.

Freebird

what happened to that "fattie" guy?  Made your board very fun to read

wildcat11

Freebird,

Fattie is hanging out at the Naples, FL. YMCA with Touchdown Tommy.

I guess the lesson is that you shouldn't  link porn to the boards.

I'm going with ULV 41 Whitworth 35 this week.
But I'm guessing you guys think otherwise.

WOUalum,

I changed my profile in honor of your friend. He keeps getting older, but those college girls stay the same age...yes they do. ;D

Like 11, I saw the uwsp game live last year and was also impressed with Borch. He is poised when he gets flushed and is dangerous on the run. Also, their db's had as much success "jumping" routs as anyone this side of umhub. That being said, Linfield's O of last September is like a primitive form of this year's. The Pointers may get a few scores, but only when they do not matter.

Since moving to St Louis 2 seasons ago, I have listened to every game via the computer or been at the game. The streat ends this weekend. I will be making the short drive to Louisville and watching the Cards take on the mighty Beaver Nation. I am going to be wearing my Linfield gear though.

Cheers!
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Caw ... thanks for the great pics. If my friend doesn't want to go to Saturday's game in Mac, he's nuts. He's really not going on business anyway, more of work-pleasure stuff.

D- Good pic for my friend, funny stuff. Saturday should also be a very good game ... wish I was going.

Hmmm??  Just a thought ~ wouldn't it be interesting if the unbelievable happened and Lewis and Clark went 4-0

Foss

Nobody's mentioned that yet. I don't think they'll go 4-0, but they might end their "season" with a win. Their last game against C-M-S is a team they defeated last year. They also go against  Colorado College (2-7 last year) who they played respectablly on the road last season. 1-4 is a possibility, and 2-2 isn't out of the question, that is if those poor kids haven't already mailed it in. It would be interesting if they did pull out a win or two.

Spirit, I'm hoping the Beavers make the state proud out there. The win against BSU gave them a lot of confidence and they played well against LSU last year, so we'll see. They're like the Willamette of the Pac 10. Play with the best in the country one week (LSU game), then not bother to show up the next.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

That sounds about right. It all depends on how the Pio's respond (if they are dejected or wanting to make the most of the four games) and how much the other teams might overlook them. I'm guessing they get at least one win.
