...yes...I also heard those comments and immediately thought of all the great receivers we've had also including #8 and #2...and alot of others. But what's the scoop on not wearing the Wildcat Decal at either game??? I didn't see any other players who wore a generic white helmet, unless maybe they were from Penn State???

It had to be Brett's Linfield helmet. It had the initials RA on the back for Coach August and  the number 5.

I noticed the patch where the face mask attaches on the front of the helmet said CATS.  :)

I'm sure there were some mitigating factors but my initial reaction to the lack of the logo was...PISS POOR on his part.  Anybody know the scoop?

If you want to see Casey in a team picture at the Aztec Bowl.
Thanks to the SCIAC board.

...and to add fuel to the fire, yes, you can see the WILDCAT logo.

I will check with my sources on the Missing Logo question... :'( ....in the mean time if anybody knows anything about it let us know. Also, did anyone notice any other player on either roster that was not wearing his team helmet with accompanying logo? I made a point to look as much as I could and I didn't notice anybody else...?

I just checked with one of my sources before I posted this and he said Brett probably gave away his Wildcat Logo Stickers to somebody or forgot to put them on before the game ... ??? He didn't wear it in the Las Vegas Bowl either....

I've seen sometimes during these all-star games guys give each other their team logos to put them on their helmets for keepsakes, like I saw Tyler Mathews this year in the Alumni Game had his helmet covered with logos from the Aztec Bowl but he still had the Wldcat logo on there too besides all the others added...

Players are usually given extra helmet stickers to exchange with players from other teams.
It's a messy foul up and he should have been wearing one, but the man did leads us to a National Championship and to the West Final game. I'm willing to forgive him for not wearing a Cat logo to 2 games. I hope the next team logo he's wearing is a NFL one.

...ya, maybe when he gets in the NFL, which I'm really hoping he does, he'll sneak on a 'cat logo somewhere.... ;D

...perhaps he'll stay within the cat family: a lion, a panther, a jaguar.

I watched Brett Elliott in the first half and it took me only two passes to see that he has a future in the NFL. He has the size, arm, and most important composure to make it at the next level.

The announcers especially Bob Davie don't know sh*t. Some of his comments were just ignorant when it came to commenting on the level of play at the DIII level. His knock on B.E. not having talented receivers at the DIII level was idiotic at best. No wonder he is announcing instead of directing a top flight program like Notre Dame.

Go DIII
