Is former Beav Derek Anderson on an NFL roster? Curious as to his speed in the 40.

Anderson is with the Cleveland Browns.

Exactly what I thouhgt also. That was just a partial list of what was said about Smith, I didn't want to take up a lot of space on the post, but I've read some of the same things about Elliott. Just shows you never know what will happen at draft time.

Yeah, but somehow, I just don't see Elliot going #1 this year...  ;)

So what's your bet? Think he'll be drafted?

I hope Brett gets drafted. I'd say most likely a middle to late round pick.

I'm thinking 6th or 7th round unless there's an early run on QBs.  If he's not drafted, I do think he'll have at least one or two teams interested in him via free agency. In a way, it might work to his advantage if he's NOT drafted.

I just saw the Lions signed a tentative offer with John Kitna.  Looks like they aren't having a lot of confidence in Joey Harrington.  I think there's enough teams out there that someone will take a chance on an unknown. If nothing else, he can sit on the practice squad or be third string.

Anyway.  Fun to speculate. Though I suppose it's not likely he'll invite us over for tea and crumpets...

I did a google search of his name, but you can find
the information at http://www.nfl.com/
I agree with you about Elliott. I do believe he'll end up in the NFL at some point.
Perhaps he'll invite us over to play Madden NFL. :0)

Sadly, I don't see that happening either.

Okay, help me out here... I looked on NFL.com but don't see that info on the player's page. Where did you go to find that?  (I went to the main site, then went to players, then an alphabetical listing of them and selected Smith.)

Thanks.  And a newly-acquired Karma for you...  ;)

I can't help but notice that, to the NFL, Brett Elliot does not exist.  It's for things like that, that I really hope he lands somewhere and shows 'em all.

I'm a sucker for the underdog.

D O.C.

Thanks again to Wildcat11....

Had to take a break after a Mishap in the Mud before I felt like watching the other two.
Oh well.

'Cats: The NFL knows about Elliott (it might say that it knows plenty and enough about him). It is just that it appears at this point he is not a high priority for any of the NFL teams.

I was being a little facetious there.  Although I suppose I could have been more accurate by saying that according to NFL.com he doesn't exist.

Someone said on here you are or were an NFL scout? Is that true?  If that's the case, what's your bet?  Do  you think he'll get drafted or will he likely go free agent?

'Cats: I don' t have a personal view on Elliott because I haven't seen him play live or on TV or tape except a little bit inattentively during the Stagg Bowl in 2004. However, the public, so-called scouting reports (some of which historically are quite good in their prognostications) on him taken as a whole seem to be saying that there is an outside chance that he will be drated in about the 7th round. If he is not, most probably a few NFL teams will attempt to sign him as a free agent. For obvious reasons, it is likely that it would be to his advantage to be a "competed for" free agent rather than a 7th round pick, provided that he can overlook his bruised pride.

frank....Thanks for your insite on Brett. I think most of us on this board just want to see him given a chance to show his stuff. Many of us have watched alot of very good players over the years, Cats and others and know we have watched a very special player these past 2 years.

News from the Oregonian: St.Louis coach gives him vote of confidence. On Friday, Elliott went through an individual workout for St. Louis Rams quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier. After his 3rd or 4th pass brett was told that he should have been at the combine. He's suppose to have a workout tomorrow at PSU. I just hope they don't act like the Pathetic Pac 10 and not let him show his stuff.

Good luck Brett and Casey, we're behind you all the way!!!!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
