Nice article on Casey....great to see that Linfield jersey get some additional exposure.

Here's hoping this only the first step for Casey on his way to the NFL.  He's clearly got the talent and the skill set!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

One of my sources tell me the 'cats have a 6"6' 238 lb. H.S.
Shrine game (east/west) player comming in from Eastern Oregon. He also plays basketball and basebll but football is his first love.  :)

I would be inclined to go with 1_For_27, though I am hoping to have a different team from the midwest. Here you go:

St. John's 4 (as in the overall Johnnie record vs. the Cats) Linfield 0

Phone it in! :o

johnnie and 1_for_27:

Here you go:
Linfield 4 (as in 4 National Championships) uww 0
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

RedandPurple, need I mention that the Johnnies also have four national championships, including the one in `65 where they drilled some team from McMinnville 33-0? :o

Tuxguy

johnnie Red,
Maybe this year the johnnies  will make it out west and give us a chance to even the score alittle. Missed the the fun at the Elks these past 2 years.......By the way, your turn to buy! :D
4 months to kick off, I can't wait.

GO WILDCATS LEAVE NO DOUBT IN '06
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Johnnie Red:
So Linfield and St. Johns are even. It's uww that needs to catch up. :D
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Johnnie Red,

Need I remind you about a certain national all-time record no D1 school is even close to?

11,

Thanks for the new avatar. I'll use it at least though Mother's Day.

To say "poor Casey" is really off the mark...I would congratulate him.

The poor Casey was in regards to the whizzinator remarks in that he might be playing with people of less-than-sterling character.

Steel Curtain, you must be talking about the national all-time win record held by coach Gagliardi, right? ::) Or I suppose it could be the soon to be set national all-time seasons as a head coach record of 58 years. You are right, no D1 program is close.

Swede and Tuxguy, I do miss McMinnville and the Elks Club. It would be an honor to make the trip back to Linfield this fall, though playing the game in Collegeville would be alright. I could even see taking my Wisconsin Badger son and Colorado Buffalo daughter to Oregon this summer for a vacation in your great state.

You didn't mention what position he plays. I assume at 6'6", 238 he's probably not a DB and is likely a lineman. But which side?

D O.C.

JR...no doubt about it.
There is no victory over The Coach in 51 winning seasons.
May he prosper until there is 1 (one) for THE WILDCATS. To even the record would be a political correctness dream at this point in history.
A consultant position is available for him upon retirement, however. We will pass the hat to get him out of that winter season of Minnesota.

Johnnie Red.....always great to see you come in on the NWC board, even if it is with your well worn takes on the Johnnies vs. Linfield.   It's kinda funny that every time you throw that stuff out that somebody in Linfield nation takes the bait.   With all the lakes in Minnesota, I thought you might have a chance to do some real fishing....but trolling on this board might be a bit more addicting than you might admit ;)

Wildcat '64....don't get your hopes too high regarding the CFL being the first step to the NFL for Casey Allen.  There aren't more than a handful of receivers that have ever gone from CFL success to NFL success since the Canadian game is radically different than US football.    The wider, longer field with 25 yard deep end zones, three downs to move the chains, the motion that is allowed and twelve men on the field (the extra being a receiver)......the CFL to the NFL isn't like AAA baseball to the major leagues.

I'd make one suggestion for all the Linfield fans.....get yourself a Directv dish and subscribe to the "sports pack" which gives you all the Fox Sports Regional and other regional sports networks.   Last season, about 75% of the games in the CFL were available among the regional networks, mostly from back east.    I don't know if it will be the same television arrangement this season, but last summer while some sports fans were watching baseball and the WNBA, I was watching the CFL.   Draw your own conclusions about who is worse off. :P

Linfield Video Of The Week!!!

***next week: 1992 Highlight Tape Opening: Part 2 of 4***

***Former 'Cat, Dan Kielty produced many great Linfield highlight tapes during the 90's but his best work might have been the opening of the 1992 season highlight tape.  The 1992 Wildcat team put together of the greatest seasons ever for a Wildcat team that culminated in a NAIA title game appearance where the 'Cats fell to Findley, Oh.

Dan chronicles the season in a 20 minute opening segment with game clips of each contest.  Over the next four weeks, Catdomealumni.com will bring you this opening scene in four parts.
