Tux,
Your memory serves you well and is correct.  Needless to say us 'ol Alum Cats weren't beating our chest about our alma mater until the misbehaving passed out of the minds of the residents.

I've been listening to the internet feed for the softball game but it just went blank for some reason.  The Lady Cats were holding their own until it went off the air and sounded like Brittany Miller was "hot" on the mound today.

Don't think I've seen this on here so I'll apologize in advance if it's already been mentioned and discussed... The RB situation? I just heard from my father-in-law, who heard it at the Quarterbacks' Club breakfast last week, that David Cruikshanks (sp?), the RB who showed some promise last year, won't even be at Linfield in the fall. He's opting to go to school in Spain.

{Clever sign-off goes here.}

Linfield Video Of The Week!!!

[/size]
***next week: 1992 Highlight Tape Opening: Part 4 of 4***

***Former 'Cat, Dan Kielty produced many great Linfield highlight tapes during the 90's but his best work might have been the opening of the 1992 season highlight tape.  The 1992 Wildcat team put together one of the greatest seasons ever for a Wildcat team that culminated in a NAIA title game appearance where the 'Cats fell to Findley, Oh.

Dan chronicles the season in a 20 minute opening segment with game clips of each contest.  Catdomealumni.com will bring you the final clips over the next couple of weeks.

Hey 11:

what happened to the "OG" clips? can we go a little deeper in the the film can?
remember the 'cats played great football before the 90's. and i know they have it filmed, because they made me watch it on sundays. don't get me wrong, i think the stuff you have up is great, but can we get some love for the guys that went before. and if i remember, dan was there he should know where that film is.

anyway, football is close. this will be a fun season, my son will be playing at cal poly, my brother will be coaching at high school power Kahuku High, and the cats will be on the hunt again.

much love to the OG cats (guys that used the locker room before lockers, if you know what i mean, you are one that went before)

Fa Natic,
His name is Pete Cruickshank.  I have also heard that he may not be back but haven't confirmed.  If he is leaving I am sure that the Sophomore John Montalvo has something to do with it.  It's never good to lose a player, but all my money is on Montalvo to carry the load.  The kid's got a great work ethic and can straight up run.  Watch for a big breakout year from him.
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Is Montalvo the kid from washington? If so he had a great High School career, and I agree, will do fine in the back field for the Cats!

Congrats to the Lady Cats for taking 4th in the country at the Softball National Championships!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Oops. Well, I never was one for names...

Tux,
Yeah, he is from Washington.  Great athlete too.  He was going to play lacrosse but instead committed to a speed program to prepare for the upcoming season.  There is also a young kid Cole Rogers from Newberg.  He's a smaller guy but runs hard.  He reminds me a lot of Cruickshank.  Throw in Lasswell (if he can stay healthy) and our stable is full of RB's.  I'm expecting a much more balanced attack this year.  I'm sure we'll still air it out, but compared to the BE era, it'll be a change.

Love those videos 'cat11. Coach Langsdorf's post-game reactions are classic. That 1992 team was great- they let that championship game slip away though. If only that big, fat running back from Findlay had eaten one dozen donuts on the plane ride in instead of 2-3 he ate, the team might have been able to contain him better.

Remmeber those cool, professionally done "Go Cats" signs that were handed out in Civic for the game? I wonder if any of those are still around?
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

New Page On Catdomealumni.com!!!!
Catdomealumni would like to introduce our newest page:

This page is a list of Linfield football alumni who are now currently coaching at any level of football/athletics.  One of the great strengths of Linfield over the years is the quality people the program helps shape.  Many former players move on and pass along their passion for football and athletics as a coach.

I know that I'm missing people for this list so if you are a former player that is coaching or know someone who is coaching and not on this list.....please let me know at catdomealumni@yahoo.com

On a side note....thanks for the props on the site.  It's a fun side hobby and I will try to dig deeper in the archives (per 1990's) but I only have so much material right now but hope to expand that when I have more free time during the summer.

If there is something you want to see (game, player highlighted, famous play)...let me know and I'll see what I can do.  ~11
