I was just wondering why Clark from Whitworth isn't on the recent poll for pre-season qb's?  He's probably the best athlete in the conference.  No big deal, just wondering.

No plaque, no trophy . . . no physical token . . . that's too bad.

That's because it's expected.  It's not as big of a deal to win the conference.  They print up some T-shirts and call it good.  Conference titles are just a stepping stone to the ultimate goal.  What did you do with all the plaques and trophies you got growing up...I bet they aren't on display in your den.  Same with a conference championship...it's pedestrian.  Now I guess it's different if you win the conference a couple of times every 20 years.  If Lewis and Clark ever wins the NWC, they should have a ticker tape parade in downtown Portland.

Hurray, for the pep band.  Anyone who pounds the skin of his percussion instrument with a pair of sticks is a tougher character than Warthog.
