From Pres. to ass. Prof. My oh My! :o

Kinda feel sorry for Claremont ;)
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Interesting reading from the Hardin-Simmons web site.....

Their Qb is about to set all kinds of records. Now the interesting part.

He broke his collar bone, but it says he is coming back for his 6th season!  ???

Do they do things different in Texas?

Mrs. C , Tux,

Remember el Presidente B....well ~  You may also recall he had a difficult time getting the checkbook to balance - spending more than he took in!

In spite of his elitist attitude the football program survived and probably if anything brought the faithful closer together. You may recall we "circled the wagons"!!!

LEAVE NO DOUBT AGAIN IN '06

Question:

When can/do the Cat's report to fall training camp? & does the NWC start later then other d3 teams because of some conference rule?

Poor Claremont... At least he wasn't in charge of anything there if he was just teaching.

We used to have to be careful to not bring up his name in front of my grandfather, as he'd go off on him, and we were afraid he'd have a heart attack.  El Pres. had picked on Dr. Jonasson because of his age and he was a friend of my Grandpa.  Who among us didn't take a class from Dr. J. back in the day? Even my parents had him!

You're right, '64, he did get us to circle the wagons against him!

Tuxguy, I got a chuckle out of how the abbreviated version of the word "assistant" helped you get your point across (whether it was intended or not).  :)
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Gig Harbor Cat

Tuxguy I think 11 is in Stelth mode.  He even stood me up for lunch when I was in Portland earlier this week.  Imagine that ???

Easy Gig!  I had some Bid-ness to attend to!  :D

4merprof,

Not too worried about it.  I think the idea is for the 'Cats to take care of business when we open with Western Oregon (which should be a huge game this year) and then each game after that.  We all know at this point that the only poll that matters is the one that come out after the Stagg Bowl.

Not any differently than the NWC schools tended to do before redshirting was outlawed. Jordan Neal had one legal, pre-rule change redshirt year, one medical redshirt year and four years of playing for a total of six.

That wou game is huge, for obvious reasons. I think that us catdomers are going to get to see a highly motivated bunch of players with questionable on-field morals who may feel (for the first time since the series reinvention) that they can beat Linfield. I would be curious as to what wou is brining to the table, but I cannot bring myself to go to their pee-poor website.

And of course, the cats WILL roll....
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

4merprof

Wildcat,

Just a little friendly ribbin'.  But, I absolutely agree with you in respect to the only poll that counts, comes out in late December, and is made of walnut and bronze.  Good luck this year and hopefully we'll meet again in the playoffs!

D O.C.

When any pre-article article on LINFIELD comes out that mentions '2005 All-Conference selection' does anyone else giggle? Wasn't every starter All-Conference and then some?

Yea, I think the conference as a whole makes the all-conference selections a bit of a farce with the HUGE number of guys that make it...

By the way the Top 25 looks pretty good.  The only one that sticks out to me is that Wesley squad at #8.  Those guys were an absolute joke in that semi-final game.  I was so pissed off listening to that.  Then I thought, well they may have had a bad game...but...they got waxed 47-0 earlier in the year...too, tough to take them seriously.  At least the Beast of the Least hung with Mount for four quarters! :-X
