Can't wait for Big Hits #2
Cris, Wouldn't it be nice if we had some from the early to mid '70's?
:)

Swede,
Yea...I wonder what happen to all of that old "film"....That would take a lot of storage space.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Probably right.  I always try and stay away from DFW flying out of Oklahoma City mostly.  Coming from Lubbock it is not a straight shot but it may be a time saver nonetheless.

I hope that there is a large crowd that comes in for the game.

Well, we will have a few things going in our favor...None of us will check bags....we all (the 6 of us) get in before 12pm....I live in St Louis, so the heat will not be as big a deal to me as it is has been scorching here this summer....I have fought tooth and nail to earn their respect, so I am now a Hertz Gold Club member...that being said, I bet we are in Abilene in time for an early dinner.

Definately plan on hosting a few out of towners before the game, it wouldn't be Linfield football w/out the tailgate!
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

coco

Yes, Swede, I got it, and will answer you. I forget to check those.

spiritof86,

Talking about Tailgates, reminds me of one of the best at the Linfield Home Games. Now don't get me wrong, each and every week, the group I'm part of, which includes coco, Mrs coco, GHC, camcat and many others, put on a pretty good spread. But we look forward to once a year when the King, Big Johnny D. shows up with his seafood extravaganza!!!! ;D :P
.He  puts on one of the greatest! Makes me hungry just talking about it. Any one know what I'm talking about? Or been their? You gotta Love Small College Football!!!

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Orca Jr.

Hope you got the pictures okay.

Orca Jr.

Swede, got'em.  Thanks a ton.  You're gettin closer but still don't have it  ;D ;D
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

coco

Tuxguy,

I remember very well. If I have any luck when I visit Wildcat'64's territory, I may have something tasty to contribute this year!

Of course I know of what you are speaking- I am part of the group that has tailgated next to you for the last 4-5 years. Our group is kind of getting disjointed due to people moving etc...but the small(er) group that remains is going to protect our territory until we all are back together.

Coco,

FYI - The salmon run is in!  Went yesterday and pulled in four 12-15 pound silvers.  Unfortunately they will probably be consumed by the time I make it down for the first Tailgater.  But rest assured we'll have some "local contribution".
I'll also bring a few $$$ to contribute to the plate as we "pass the hat" for the The Band is Back Fund!

'64,

Coco is in Homer now, hunting for halibut. We heard the pickings are slim this year. True?

spiritof86,

Looks like a friend and I might be heading to the lone star state after all. It's been a long time since I took a vacation. With all thats going on, my Fathers health and so on,( thanks to everyone for the E-mails), I think a trip to watch The Cats Play in the land of Football might be in order. ( I say that because when you have a town of 2000 and a High School stadium that seats 5000+, That must be Football country.) :D

Anyway, E-mail me If you would with Itinerary. The more the mirier I hope.
I'll keep in touch!

Those interested!.......... ;D
Try Newsregister.com, article on the Cats and one on Tuxguy Jrs. new Soccer Head Coaching Job!.................................. Sorry Proud CatDad! ;D

Great news about the Y-C soccer coach! Really cool for such a young guy to get this great of an opportunity! Also, the article inluded a quote by former Linfield great Alan Boschma- what more could you ask for?

Tux- I will email you our Texas plans.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Just making sure I post on our 500th page.....BTW, We got 40 pound Taiman over here....No fishing license needed...Come and get em!
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Wildcat'64

Mrs. C & Tux,

No Hunting Required -- Just Real Serious Fishing --- the Halibut are in  Katchemak Bay and if Coco doesn't come home with a couple of Big Boys he would have evidently had a Lute or a Bearcat as the Captain of the boat....If you need a great tailgate recipe for halibut I have a great one!

If Coco has a layover as he flies thru Anchor town ask him to send me an email.  We  can meet up and get the "pre season tailgating" started!

GO CATS -- LEAVE NO DOUBT AGAIN IN '06!!
