"Should haves" are like a$holes...everyone's got them.  SJU should have beat UWW last year, too, but they didn't show up to play that day.  You can say "we should have" all day long, but that's why they played the game.

A tradition unrivaled...

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Bluenote must really be saving up for a huge 76 trombone fanfare 8)

I know what you guys mean about UWW.  Those guys were soooo much luckier than good last year! ;) ;) ;) 8) 8)

Thank-you for your effort and every drop of perspiration. An amazing team to get to watch.

Proud to be number 1 all season long...until beaten in one  fine match-up of two worthy teams.

There will always be doubt in one person's opinion about the SHOULD

(coulda, woulda, hadda, oughta are a tad bit different.)

Yeah ... imagine if St. John's had shown up to play, might have kept it from being a monkeystomp.

LOL...karma for that one! Excellent use of the 'monkeystomp'.

O.K. I've got a question.

I read all over the site about teams having scrimmages. Rowan, Oxy? Oxy is playing some team C.C.? How do these not count as Games?

The Cats used to play the alumni in a "scrimmage" before joining D3. As I understood it, it counts as a game if they were to play it now.. So how do these other Schools get away with playing an other school and calling it a "scrimmage"?

Good luck to Brett tonight, It will be fun to see him play again!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Pat Coleman

Uhh, Tuxguy, everyone aside from the Midwest Conference has scrimmages.

Two thumbs down for Brett Elliott's non-debut
                                              ???

Dens,

I agree, that sucked! :(
I watched a really bad game to get to the 4th Q. and still no Brett.  ???

The good news is, Whitehurst looked terrible.  ;D

Yeah, what a waste of a Friday night!  Did catch BE on the sidelines with headphones on (standing with Coach Marty) though.  Maybe next game?  Hey question?  Does anybody know...does Brett get the league minimum for 2 years (his contract is 2 years) or does he have to make the team to get the $?
Just curious.....$275,000 is good money for your first year out of college.....:)
Go Cats!

Pat Coleman

He has to make the team -- only a signing bonus, if any, is guaranteed I believe.
