The article from the SD Tribune is openly dismissive, as well as negative. Oh well, we shall see what happens. Brett always has the Packers!
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Good luck to Brett and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for him Saturday night!  Of course, it will be while I am watching the Warhawks make a fish sandwich out of the Lakeland Muskies and after some terrific tailgating!!  The only remaining "cupcake" left on their non-conference schedule.  Sorry you guys have to wait for one more week to "Get it Started."  I'll be thinking of you all while I am tailgating and remembering your great hospitality and BBQ we had at the Cat Dome last year.  The best of luck to the Cats this season unless they play the Hawks!!   :) :) :)

This post got me a smite?? ???  Must be a Muskies poster!! ;D ;D or GHC!   ;)

Remember that players who are waived on Saturday are free agents.....therefore if Brett is waived by the Chargers, he may sign to be on any teams' practice roster.....Green Bay, Cincinnati, San Diego, St. Louis....any of the teams that have shown interest.   The practice roster has only eight players on it......it isn't like the Chargers can stick every first and second year player they cut on the team since they have had their contract.   The practice roster is can be established on Sunday after Saturday's cut down, which I think is at 3 pm Pacific time.

I would like to point out another reason why our SID is outstanding.

Example is the cover to the 2006 media guide:

Just awesome...very professional and great theme.

Now let's look at a bad cover (Lakeland Muskies):

Cheese to the 10th degree, just too many jokes and not enough time

Just a reminder to thank Kelly Bird for his work when you bump into him at games this fall.

I chalk Kelly's brilliance up to two things: Being from Canada, and graduating from Tigard High.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Spirit...I would concur with the Tigard High comment (only greatness comes from there)...but not sure if being a Canuck qualifies one for any more than free medical services.

I'll pass along these comments to our esteemed SID Kelly Bird tonight.....the Linfield statheads are going to Corvallis for our "practice game".....we try to get to a d1 or other game to test out our software and our game skill to work out the kinks in our system before the games really count.

I'll be sure to include the Canadian insults as well since I think Kelly has heard every line from "Strange Brew" at least twice over the years, the usuals being "take off you hoser" and "want a jellydonut, eh?"

Is anyone having a problem opening the Maxwell Field Webcam other than myself?  My computer has been having "hiccups" the past few days and I don't know whether it's internal to my system or if there is a problem on the other end with the Webcam itself?

Wildcat'64,

The webcam is doing more than hiccups for me. I can't get it at all right now, and it was coming in fine a couple days ago.

As I recall the web cam is always turned off around this time of the year. Don't know if it's intentional or not.

New to me:
I'm watching the  Denver-AZ game and the announcer mentions Nate Jackson from Menlo College.
Very cool! He's been playing since '03, but I never heard his named called. Not much of a Bronco fan.

I'm getting five games tonight! 3 college, one hgh school , and the Cardinals.
The only one I really care about will be played on September 9 in the CATDOME!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

I paid my dues in the Bay Area during the Brodie era as well....Remember that game the 49ers whooped the Packers after Green Bay had already claimed their division title?....Circa 1966...Pre SuperBowl Days.

criswly:
I used to go with my dad and two older brothers to watch Craig Morton play at University of California, Berkeley. That's where I learned to enjoy college football. We saw a lot of good teams play against the Golden Bears.

Nice piece on Locey and the Cats in the pre-game show this eve of the OSU game.  Nice photos of the Catdome and a few action shots of the Cats.  FSN did a quality job and certainly gave the Cats great exposure and was most complimentary about the Cat program!
