SD goes for the whole enchilada on a sidline fly pattern and Elliott overthrows.

22 yard Elliott to Gross on a sweet screen.

Now that long incompletion was exciting the way the announcers covered it, wasn't it?
How about them saying Marty S. was not being his conservative 'ol self?
And another good completion.

Come on Brett, put it in!!

(oh, yeah, this is all on radio and in my mind)

Great play for a 4th down and 5.

What kind of ball player was Gross at EOU. He has impressed on this drive. Elliott had another short complete and reciever got tatooed! SD going for it on 4th and goal Elliott over throws incomplete.

D O.C.

Uh-oh, overthrew the end zone.

I'm a positive guy. He moved the team.

Come on Brett, put it in!!

He needs to have another Stevens Point in 2004, 21 point come from behind 4th quarter comeback to win the game.

Having lived in the Bay Area for 34 years and for all the glory years, this is the first time in my life I have ever wanted the 9ers opponent to win.

I was at that game...it was beautiful!

The internet announcer just referred to Elliott as the "...backup to Rivers."

Gross, another nice run. Another nice screen by Elliott. 3rd and 4 at 6. Interception. Deflected pass.

He moved 'em again.
That interception was "a Bullet" that was deflected.
You can add the Bullet to the soft trajectory.

You'd have to say he's a 'secret' no longer.

Where's Casey Allen when you need him!

That must have been a real shock for the Pointers, their first loss to a non conference team in 23 years or so.

You got that right Dens. His first pick (nerves?) and the two timouts seem like the only mistakes made. I think Brett Elliott showed well.

So what do you think, from those of you able to see the game?  Does Elliott make the team?

I don't pretend to know the coaches thinking but would they play him the full second
half if they were planning on unloading him? I wouldn't think so unless he screwed up which for his NFL debut he certainly did not.

Congratulations to former Linfield Wildcat Brett Elliott on his NFL debut.
Good luck to him and I hope to see him playing on Sunday.

Next stop...the Catdome!
