Have not figured how you guys rename these URL's yet.

Quote from the above mentioned news article:

If the Chargers don't add a third QB and the first two were to get hurt, "We've got David Binn," Schottenheimer said. Binn is going into his 13th season as San Diego's long snapper.

Please, somebody tell me Marty was joking when he said that. Binn was a TE in college (California). Never caught a pass in the NFL (I looked up his stats), and yet Schottenheimer would rely on him as a back-up QB. Did I miss something here? If he is joking fine. If not, what an insult to Elliott and Feeley.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Personally I already think Marty is a joke  Im turning the page on this issue.  Time to get behind the Cats

Gig Harbor Cat

But then Im a 49er fan  Even in the tough years

Wildcat'64

Bearkitties take a whipping.....42-0!  Wolves announcer proclaims towards the end of the game that the Wolves have been soundly beaten by the Cats the last two years but it's gonna be a different story this year!  Guess we'll know the outcome of his prediction seven days from now.

GO CATS - LEAVE NO DOUBT AGAIN!!!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Talk is Cheap.  And if I remember right so are the WOU players  Cheap shots that is

R&P....relax for goodness sakes!   Listen to the obvious "coachspeak" and NFL roster rules.   There is no reason why an NFL would suit up just two QB's for a game.   On game day, a team is allowed to declare a 45 man active roster for the game out of the 53 on the total roster.  Teams are allowed to suit up a 46th player, as long as it is a quarterback.  If the 46th man plays in the first three quarters of the game, the other two quarterbacks cannot re-enter the game.

Obviously, Marty cannot talk about a third quarterback who isn't on their roster....if that player is on another roster, that is tampering.   A trade or something else is in the works.....and something that a veteran coach like Marty is going to talk about with the press.

Page 2.....I hope this is the last game Linfield plays against WOU.  We are d3 and don't need the aggravation of games against WOU and the garbage that goes with it.   It has been fine for a couple of years, but let's all hope that this is it and that Linfield can be like most others and play a full nine game d3 schedule.

Pat Coleman

Most others don't settle for nine games. Most play 10.

RedandPurple: Of course, he was joking. What else could it have been?

Puget Sound pulled out the win at Whittier.  Score looked a bit close, but I'm guessing that's due to the new kid at quarterback.  I guess Whittier's having problems with their stats, and they won't be available till late today or Monday.

Any guesses on Lee's total yards?  I'm thinking 175+ total yards and 2 TDs.

WOU                            42
Willamette                     0

Hardin Simmons          49
UW - Stevens Point     17

Linfield will have two very tough games the next two weeks.    Hardin Simmons likely will be the best team we have played in the regular season since the SOU game three years ago in Ashland.      Brutal Texas heat.      Their homefield.    A proven winning program.      Wildcats will have their hands full.

WOU--- who knows?    Game should be much closer than the last two years.

Linfield's defense must play very tough and they need a good running game to win both of these games.

GO CATS, GO!
GO CATS! GO!

MonroviaCat

Just like to point out that last year, WOU beat the Bearcats 35-0 only to be stomped by the Cats 49-7.  So, I don't think we can read anything from the butt-kicken they gave Willamette this year.
Go Cats!

MonroviaCat

Another thought, anybody else scared of UWW (Whitewater)?   They were great last year and picked up where they left off scoring 75 points against a team that made the playoffs last year (thought not  really a team worthy of the playoffs).
Go Cats!

Not scared of anybody--I say bring it.  But thats just me

The scariest thing is that the starters began leaving the game with 8 minutes left in the second quarter and all were out by end of the first half with a 48-7 lead.  27 more points were scored in garbage time and I really mean garbage time.......2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, even 6th (at some positions ) deep players all saw time just in case anyone thinks the Hawks ran up the score. And you are absolutely right.....not a team worthy of the playoffs.
