spirit.....  that is beside the point....this is best handled with a private note to Kelly rather than to blather on about it here.   It is just as easy to write an e-mail that to come in here with stuff like that.    Kelly rarely comes to this board as he has five other sports to deal with right now besides "king football".

I don't care if it gets fixed, it isn't that big of a deal to me. I was simply stating what I saw. I wasn't trying to belittle the work done by the linfield sid, nor was I blathering.

Geeze- it isn't even week 1 yet and you guys are week 8 sensitive.

I get it. I deserve to be burned at the stake. Sorry. Never again.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

86,

Bubba was the Qb at Tualatin High School last year. I believe he has 2 other brothers playing for the Cats though. Big shoes to fill, but he's one heck of an athlete and I'm sure will do a great job!

Dens, check your messages!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Orca Jr.

Yes, Bubba is a true Freshman.  If you remember he had committed to the Air Force Academy before changing plans and heading to Linfield.  Tux, he does have two older brothers playing for the 'Cats, Chet and Chase.  It really is a family affair now.
Bubba is supposed to be an incredible athlete.  I'm excited to watch him play.  Only 3 more days!!!
There's nothing like being a wildcat.  Some say they understand, but until you've lived it, you have no idea.

Boys.....save a few bucks this weekend to purchase a copy of the 2006 Linfield Football media guide.    The theme is "blueprint for success".    You will not be disappointed!

Catville Commissioner Elect

Tuxguy,

I did not see where anyone brought this up on the board, but the Cats were not the only ones to benefit from having Buba come to Linfield.  The high school benefited as well.  Watching last Friday nights game at Southridge I was suprised to see one of the starting receivers and defensive back was Mychel Lemon who transferred from Tualitan to McMinnville.

I know that Tualatin runs a hard running offense so I am not sure he got to showcase his potential, but he definately adds another element to MHS both offensively and defensively.  He was a little shakey I though in the defensive backfield but then, he is pretty small going up against some very tall receivers Southridge had.  He also dropped a couple of passes that he probably should have caught, but I think that can be attributed mostly to nerves, experience, and to not seeing a lot of action at Tualatin at the varsity level.

I am not sure if he is a Sophmore or Junior, but as the season progresses I think we will hear his name alot when it comes to MHS games.  He is fast, runs pretty good routes and when he develps good hands that can take some of the pressure off the running game allowing Armstrong, Nichols, and Milton to open up the run as they are all great backs for the high school level as well as pretty darn good in running routes.

I am not suprised that the whole Lemon family is talented.  Maybe one day we may have another Lemon at Linfield courtesy of McMinnville High School.

I too noticed we had an other Lemon in town. I look forward to watching him play!

Got any (none- man- made) :o  ;) ;) gas for the tailgater on sat? An extra can would be greatly appreciated. See you all there.

Beancounter, thanks for the heads up! It should be interesting reading with all the new info, along with being the first Night game since 1969. Is It Saturday yet?

Topcat 1,

Would you mind slipping over from your seat in the "nosebleed section" and plugging in the Webcam before game time.  For those of us who can't make the first night game since 1969, it would be great to be able to watch the 30 second delay game while listening to the audio!

We'll be with you in spirit on Friday and Saturday as you bring in the 2006 season with the usual Cat flare---see you in a couple of weeks!

GO CATS -- ONCE AGAIN IN '06!

New to the board. Hey, it's great to see so many Cats talk football. Wildcat11, fantastic footage. Dismiss the talk about clarity 11, that's how most old Cats see things.

Congrats to Bubba for blazing unfamiliar ground. Freshmen need the challenge as do older classman. It will make everyone better in the long run.

Saturday night football - like the good old days - God I can't wait.

Go Cats - the Spirit Lives On.

Welcome, Classic Cat.

I've been reading the media guide tonight, and it looks to be another award-winning job by Kelly Bird.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Looks to be a good weekend for NWC football.

Puget Sound's travelling down to Cali to play La Verne, and although they dropped that game last year, the defensive secondary is much stronger than it was last year. Kudos to the kid who intercepted the Whittier pass last weekend and took it into the zone.  Lee's going to be good for another 100+ yard game, with La Verne having lost a few key starters on their defense from last season.

Kavin William's, the new starting QB for the Loggers had a good game last weekend, although his inexperience showed from the passing standpoint.  I heard that most of his throws were on target, and one of his passes was dropped in the endzone.

Oh, and Jake Parks had 4 sacks last game! Can't get any better than that!

Any observations about the upcoming Whitworth v. Redlands match?  The MIAC pick'em board likes Redlands . . . any feedback?

So far the MIAC pickem board likes Redlands (+6.5)

Were heading out to the Catdome tomorrow.  Got all of the important stuff loaded.  Took the Wildcat flag down from the boat and put it on the SUV-  Its football season,  yes it is.  Wildcat11 and Mrs 11 are hosting us at their new home this weekend.  time to break in 11's new pool table, while he and i talk strategy and stuff.  See you all at the tailgate.  what time is it going to get started, or has it started already ?
