The only game the Guru has seen the Cat play in person was the "OFF  O DAY"  in the Stagg bowl 2004.   He has NEVER been to the CATDOME since the catS joined the NCAA.   I think it is something about crossing the Mississippi AND "GOING WEST YOUNG MAN" ?   

I grew up west of the Mississippi, old man.

There are 234 schools in D-III -- heck, 14 current D-III schools have won titles and I've only been to three of them: Mount Union, St. John's and Widener. You'll get your turn someday.

Maybe the Team of the Week is only SID's nominations but something is rotten in Virginia when the first LINFIELD player on the Team is week 8 and it is none than the Gagliardi eventual winner and previous year Division III MVP.
Team of the Weak.

It's a shame there aren't more nominations from schools. The Team of the Week has been around since 1999 and many schools take advantage of the opportunities.

I talked to a friend who was at the game.  Sounds like it might be a long season for the Cru. Young "O" line, and suspect corners to go along with lack of offensive creativity. Yup, a real long season.

One thing about a night game - got dressed for the game then went outside and found I'll be sweating at the tailgater. Oh well, nothing a few cold beers won't cure.  And what happened to the forecasted "showers"?  Oh I forgot, it doesn't rain on Cat games in Sept.  Time to hit the road.

Wooo!  Looks like Puget Sound pulled out a squeaker, although that's what it looked like last week too.  I'll update when I get the info.  NWC 1-0 so far this week.
