Just noticed an error on Linfield's football schedule page that might have caused some real grief... The Linfield site says the game tomorrow starts at 6:00 p.m., but it's actually starting at 4:00 p.m. The Listen Live page has it right.

Thought I'd pass that on in case anyone else was operating under the assumption it didn't start 'til 6:00.

That 6:00 refers to central time.

CalCat

Good luck to the Cats should be a great game two solid programs going at it.  Cats and Cowboys at 4:00pm and S.C. and corndogs at 5:00pm it just doesn't get any better inthe Southland !

Ah, yes. I see that now. I'd assumed they were all listed as being West Coast times, like the way d3football does, just with East Coast times.

Yes sir... I'll be wearing the red and purple tomorrow and cheering on the good guys.
Nice picture of Travis on the D3 homepage. Hope he does it again against the cowboys.

Travis Masters is ranked #3 in the country (kickoff returns)

Safe travels to everyone making the trip.  Represent the Linfield faithful well.

Hi all. First time poster here. I've been a Wildcat fan ever since Ad's 1970 team opened the season with a home-field victory over Central Washington...the score was something like 7-6. Back in those days, it seems, the offensive philosophy was something like "three yards and a cloud of mud."  ;D

Anyway, I'm in Abilene for the game tomorrow...it's 3:20 am...I can't sleep. Thought this might be a good time for my first post.

While the opener last week was a bummer for all of Catdome Nation, we fans can learn valuable lessons from an experience like that...just like the players and coaches did. Now it's time to put on the Linfield gear, stoke up the spirit, warm up the lungs, and be prepared to give 100% support to our 'Cats. Win or lose, they're our team and always class representatives of our favorite school.

Now, if I can just get a little sleep before then.  ;)

It's a sunny day in Abilene...well, so far, anyway. There are some clouds here and there and the weather forecast is a high of 94, low of 73, with a slight chance of rain in late afternoon and evening. Looks like the 'Cats may feel right at home.

The previous comment may be wishful thinking. I don't live in Mac anymore, but remember that September temperatures can be at this level. Nevertheless, I'm looking for any edge I can find.

Go 'Cats!

OldCatProf -- I ordered up 100 degree weather for kickoff.

Did the same thing against Stevens Point but He must have got the wrong order as it was in the low 70's.

See you guys at the game!

Good news from Coach Smith!!  He told Dave Hansen and I a few minutes ago that the offense is here. I assume he means they will be in high gear for the game tonight.

On the other hand, Dave says that the defense and offense traveled separately last night from Dallas... with the offense arriving several hours after the defense. Maybe Coach was merely confirming that they physically arrived.

I prefer to be optomistic. The offense is here and ready to be highly productive. Only 8 more hours till kick-off. Time to get out on the town here and see the sights. (Are there any "sights" in Abilene?)

'Cats Fa Natic

Welcome, OldCatProf. Always good to see new posters to add to the mix.

In case you get this before kickoff, what's the mood of the team? Well rested? Are they looking fired up?

There's nothing I would like better than for the team to put the ghosts of last week behind them. Let's get it on!

Can anyone help me find last season's stats for Linfield?  I'm not seeing it on any of the links on the Linfield site. Didn't they used to have last season's stats listed right on the same page as this season's?

The only history I can find is the record book and the news archives.

Cat Fa Natic,

Go to the Linfield Sports Website...then select Football....on the left hand side of the screen you will see Statistics as one of the topics.  This area has all current year stats!

Just for today, since Brett Elliott's got the weekend off being on the practice squad, do you think maybe he could could stop by Abilene today and just throw a few for old times sake to give us the edge we may need against those tough Cowboy Texans?
