What? You weren't going to drive to Thousand Oaks and LaVerne?

This is not good news for OxyBob. If he goes to the away games it will trigger his post traumatic stress syndrome. Not many recognize what's happening when he pulls off his outer garmets and starts applying shellac with a broad brush to his extremiities.

<OK, I said I was not going to (try) be obtuse>

OXY has been beaten by large scores on trips to the NWC lately. That is sometimes referred to as "being shellacked."

CAl LU and LaVerne aren't till 2010.  Oxy is next year!

What would be wrong with a third SoCal home and home series?

QuoteI have to applaud the great work that AD Carnahan and Coach Joe Smith have put in with regards to getting this done and for the changes coming in 2010-2011
,
and I'd especially like to thank all the squeaky wheels on advantagecatdome.com and d3football.com for speeding up the process. Without every important person at both institutions reading your whining and *itching, the status quo would have been endless.

Nothing unless your also playing a team in Texas and end up having to budget for at least 2 long trips each year.  My guess is that this is a one game series due to previous obligations held by one or both teams and/or the budget.

Thanks D O.C. but I think that WOU realizing their built-in DII advantages had more to do with things changing but I'm sure all of our yelling didn't hurt.

Coco,

Both programs were only looking for a one-year deal to act as a bridge to the 2010 schedules.  Of course I would rather have it at the 'Catdome but as long as it's another DIII I could really care less where it's played.

Sure coco, gives you a good reason to come down and take in Disney Walk so you don't have to pay the big bucks for the theme parks.
I can book you a motel within taxi distance from Occidental. There's a popular one on North Figueroa with a view of the river (from your balcony).

Have you guys been voting on this? I try to remember to go on there every day and vote for Speckman. It would be nice to see a new face honored, and I think he's deserving.

Most certainly he's deserving.

I've been voting every day - usually twice a day with the ability to vote via text message. Text M. Speckman to 20250.

Thanks, Wildcat11. That makes sense.

Great news, 11.....the inmates at WOU can go back to the pen and don't have to worry about playing the Cats!

Bring on OxyBob and the Tigers.  Four game road trip...no big deal.  If you're gonna win the Bronze and Gold you've got to be a team that can win on the Road.

Great schedule for the Cats in 2009....3 Division III team that were in the 2008 playoffs....win them all and it's playoff time for the Cats again in 2009!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Lately Linfield's reputed prowess has varnished into thin air. I'd say you're finished.

OB,
You can't even compare our Cats to your club, since you play in the So Cal Pee Wee league.

Phone it in

I guess this means you'll begin getting the Conestoga wagons provisioned, the canvas covers stitched, and the wheels re-plated. The Oxy-Linfield game is scheduled for Sept. 19, and the 950-mile trip should take you about 60 days, so plan on leaving McMinnville around July 1 just in case some of the oxen go lame.
