.....and I thought I was brave eating plain old sushi! When I go to Chinese Dim Sum I've tried the steamed chicken feet and beef tripe though, and those 1000 year old eggs in the rice porridge are a little disconcerting.... but nothing like what you guys are munching on...my word!  :D

coco

We had to eat tripe every so often when we were growing up and we hated it!

Did you like the chicken's feet, Blue?  You're pretty adventurous to try all those dishes.
Squid and octopus are favorites in our house, but we don't get them often enough. We enjoy a few more unusual foods than some folks, I gotta admit, especially me.

I offically nominate Bobo and Cris for the” NWCPP Golden Stomach award”

If I want a real exotic treat I’ll just wait till this fall and grab a couple of The Coco family teriyaki sticks right off the tailgate BBQ!   ;D

D O.C.

Why quit at dim sum? Let's go for the tiger liver and orangutan testicles!
How about some wooly mammoth kidney? Oh, that's right, they're extinct.
My point being...the Chinese are not role models for human diet.

You could have wc'64 bring you down some muktuk for the tailgate.  No cooking necessary.  :P

Here is some interesting reading. This formation is new to me. It'll give us something to talk about for a little while.

I especially liked this quote from the article

"...it is an attempt to deceive and attempts to deceive are unsporting acts."

I guess that rules out the play-action pass and any reverses!

D O.C.

How long has the " 'ol lonesome receiver" been outlawed? That's where 11 defensive players leave the field and are replaced by ten offensive players while the 11th stands near the sideline, legally in-bounds, but rather nonchalantly until a quick snap.

Why do you think Speckman stopped coaching HS football in California?  It was only a matter of time before the long arm of the National Federation of State High School Associations came knocking at his door!

I don't do teriyaki sticks anymore, but defer to Tuxguy on those. His are awesome! I do make good seared ahi when I can get it fresh, so maybe I'll bring that for a change of pace next fall.  Hmmm...... food.......

coco.....I actually like the beef tripe if it is soft. Most often it's kind of chewy and rubbery though which doesn't do much for me. I don't care for the chicken feet though... they're too bony with not much meat and only skin to eat. I'm sure Gig Harbor Cat likes them though.  ;D

I've had octopus at the sushi bars before but I don't really like them. Too rubbery and I don't like eating the suction cup things.

Gig Harbor Cat

taste's like chicken to me

I was not present for the purging, but do respectfully request to cease and desist the vomit references...unless it was a projectile vomit for a new NCAA Division III record.  I hear tell that is held somewhere in upstate New York though.
