That's right Kinder, Gentler coco, you are a balanced person and since you never felt sorry for the Loggers coming in your 'Catdome, let's feel sorry for them this year. I'm with you.

I don't remember playing them during my time, but there's a lot I don't remember these days.

I hope they have time to enjoy the Wisconsin scenery. It will be a great opportunity for the players to see a pretty part of the country, and maybe it will make up a little bit for the drubbing they'll get.

....coco....what if UPS actually BEATS Whitewater? That's a possibility, they could be pretty good next year!   :D

UWW doesn't lose very much from last year.

BoBo.....I actually think UPS will have a chance to beat Whitewater.  I think they have their QB back. Plus they have a couple of pretty big lineman who can really knock people over! And their defense runs all over the field!  :D

Bluenote are you sure you're not related to UPS's Coach Willenbrock?  ‘Cuz your review of UPS strengths sounds an awfully close to one of his typical pre-season quotes.

Blue,

Would your dream game be between UPS and one of your favorite teams, Lawrence? There would be some serious poon-kicking going on in that one. Who do you think would win? Who has the better library?

Wildcat11.....I'm not related.... but didn't he come from some Mid-West DIII School before he came to UPS? My mom is from Ohio and my dad is from Chicago...so maybe there is something there from the mid-west. I'm rooting for UPS to beat Whitewater though. I think they can do it if they can  hold on to the ball and make some plays. Whitewater has a tendency to beat themsleves in pressure situations.  And I think they will get knocked out of the WIAC by Oshkosh this year.

Oh my Blue---where's what's his name to come tell you to "come back to the light"......  :)  I'm assuming your also picking UPS to go all the way this season?  I'll expect that to be reflected in your Pick'em this year!

Which of their playoff games in the last four years did they beat themselves?   ::)

Really???? Cuz this arguement might hold a little more water if not for the 60-7 drubbing that the Hawks gave them in their own house last season.  Plus, this years meet will be at the Perk!  You maybe right about stumbling in the WIAC though.  Always a tough, tough road to navigate but if it happens, I seriously doubt that it will be by Oshkosh who the Hawks beat 44-3 last year and ended the season with a record of 4-5 (2-5 WIAC)

Stagg Bowl 05, and 08, maybe? Many believed them to be the best team talent wise in 05 but seemed to be caught in the ESPN/MUC headlights, especially the QB.  Last year they lost by 5 points with 2 missed FG's by one of the best FG kickers in the country. Oh, and I would add to the list, the loss to Stevens Point last season.  Way too many penalties by the Hawks gave opportunites to the Pointers and they stepped up and took advantage.  That would be my short list of "when Whitewater beat themselves" since their run began in 05.  Thankfully, it is a very short list!   ;)

BTW, hope none of that sounds like making excuses for Hawk's losses.  Just happy for the off-season football talk.
