SOU will likely be very hungry by the time the Cats visit Ashland.  They likely will be 0-3 or at best 1-2 by the time the Cat brigade heads down I-5! The good news if the Cats get off to a good start against H/S and Occidental the 'Catdome Express' will be hard to stop Ashland or not!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Sounds like a great opportunity to hop across the Missouri River and take in some IIAC games.

Yeah Warthog...I've given some thought to that...can you clue me into travel time and distance to some of those IIAC campuses?
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

A Wildcat win is NEVER an upset....I've never heard of such a game in my 57 years.

If the Cats win the first three games it will mostly be an indicator at how well Coach Joe has matured.

BearcatPress checking in.  It should be a very, very exciting season.

The Wildcats will be that good.  They will be the NWC champions and the first two games will just be warm ups for their march to the crown.

Look under the wagon for some of them.

d-train

D-train is here.  Just not posting quite as much lately...plus we were on vacation last week.  I'm excited for Pacific's program, mostly for another chance to see the Lutes (or other NWC action) in Oregon.  I've heard good things about the PLU recruiting class, but I agree that this year looks to be a 2 or 3 team race.

CalCat

If anyone making the trip is interested below some info I received today about a planned BBQ....

Linfield's football team is playing Occidental on Saturday, September 19th. There is a BBQ beforehand and hopefully you can make them both.

You can sign up for the BBQ by going on the Linfield site, http://www.support.linfield.edu , then go to ALL EVENTS. It's $ 12.00 per person.

If you could contact other Linfield alumni in the area that you know and let them know about the BBQ and game it would be appreciated.

Thank you and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to give me a call at 714 322-7400.

Hope to see you on September 19th.

Pineconefan checking in for another year of fun.

Saw former Wildcat Casey Allen last night in the af2 playoffs.  He never had a chance to get get going in the game because the QBs for Boise never really got it going.  Allen Had 2 or 3 catches for about 5 yards in Spokane's win.

89Pirate checking in with home field advantage !

Saw that game myself...wild win for Spokane, again to the Championship.

D.O.C., some of us are still around but spend more time lurking than posting.  Thank you for thinking of us. I'm spending much more time working these days. When the world is drowning in debt and you help people in the vast majority of cases get rid of 100% of their credit card debt, and often get the credit card companies to pay for it, this is a good market to be in.

wildcatter23 reporting in for another year!  I'll be on the 40/25 second play clock again, the Lord willing.  (Those stairs up to the press box get longer and steeper every year!!)

GO CATS!  54 in '09!

I lurk more than post too. I am looking forward to the season though.
