Don't be offended spirit, I'm sure Dens was putting up the list while he was catching a 20' wave and only had time to do a partial list while hangin 10.  You are on the list--we all know that

LND...good to hear from you.  I've wondered what you've been up to.  Hope to see you more on the board this year.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Very good sign of life for the Pios.  They have posted up a roster for 2009 and they list 65 players in the program.  Last year's roster....45.  They are a plus 20 this season.  Great job Pio staff.

Look under the wagon for some of them.

Of course, my mistake.
You were not under the wagon either.

For those of you who are unable to attend the Linfield/Menlo game in the  Bay Area on October 3, there will be an interesting game that weekend in Salem: Willamette vs Whitworth. In the past, in those situations, I have been able to pick up the Linfield game on the radio in the Willamette stands without problem.

coco

Great idea, Blue. That might be a good day to sit on concrete and hear about another Willamette first down.

Five bucks on Boehme to start this season. Or ten, twenty, fifty...
Guess we'll find out soon. Doesn't camp start on Thursday?

Cowboys Set For First Practice

ABILENE, Texas -- Enough with the off-season conditioning, preparations and talk. The Hardin-Simmons football team will hit the field for fall workouts at 2:59 on Thursday afternoon for the first practice of the season.

"We have had a great offseason, our kids have worked hard and we are ready to get to work," said Hardin-Simmons head coach Jimmie Keeling. "We think we have a chance to be pretty special, but not without a lot of hard work over the next few weeks."

The Cowboys are expecting around 190 players for its first practice. HSU will return 57 letterwinners from a year ago and have five starters returning on offense and seven on defense.

"There are a lot of guys with experience coming back and we have some new guys we think will be immediate contributors," said Keeling.

This year marks the 20th year of the return of football to the HSU campus. The Cowboys have high expectations as they have been picked as high as No. 5 in some preseason national polls.

Hardin-Simmons will work out one time each day Thursday through Monday and on Tuesday will have the first two-a-day practice.

The Cowboys will open the season at home on Sept. 5 against Whitworth University of Spokane, Wash. "

How are the Pirates looking this year?

spiritof86

190 players? I guess depth will not be a problem for the cowboys.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

I was largely absent last year, so I understand! I am looking to post more this year. Eager and ready for the season and will be in Mac for the hsu game. Bringing the new baby as well so she can see what Linfield football is all about- at the tender age of 6 months.

Catdomealumni.com breaking news:

Alumni Game Date is set for Saturday Oct 17th.

This is very cool because this will be a double header for the 'Cat fans.  Homecoming game with Lewis & Clark at 1pm and then the JV/Alumni at 7:30pm under the 'Catdome lights.
