I will look up that second running back but I think Nelson as a weapon cannot hurt. Speed burns.

BTW, just how far have the 'rat posters slid? (You know there's a program we've downloaded so we can tell when you're lurking.)

Having Nelson will be better than nothing, although Scott did just fine being thrown into the fire.  Anderson makes us much better and more dangerous.  I am concerned about his play this weekend, but personally, I would rather he be 100+% for the conference games.  The auto bid is more preferable than hoping for an at-large one.

BTW - us 'rats are always lurking, just waiting for the right moment to strike !

Per the LinfieldSports Twitter feed the Linfield/Oxy game will have a live video feed for those that can't make it to SoCal:

Thanks for the info 11. Our plans changed and we won't be able to travel to the game. :(
We'll be watching on the internet thanks to you. :)

Those Oxy uniforms are certainly brutal, I wonder if the Tigers head coach made the change, or has Oxy always had that look. The Oxy athletic logo indicates orange is a major color. Regardless, it's good seeing the teams from that conference willing to play Linfield again. It just makes too much geographic sense.

Of the subject of scheduling, I hear a few Western Oregon fans are upset over not playing Linfield this year. They don't seem to understand the nature of the D3 playoffs.

That's likely the 'second back' then.

It's a banged up season for many teams right now. Let's say my fingers are crossed.

Nelson is the second back the third was Sean Scott and he did a nice job when pressed into action.  Anderson got hurt during opening kickoff which Nelson actually took the kick and Anderson was blocking.  Nelson hurt his shoulder early on and tried to keep going but couldn't.  They taped Anderson up and he tried to go on the sidelines but they wisely held him out.  I would be surprised if he wasn't ready at least by conference.  Whitworth will have to pick it up against Selway and Redlands because they didn't look that good against a sloppy La Verne effort.

My posting the post about #28 probably wasn't the right thing to do, but I just wanted the people to know some things about him. I realize Linfield is not a blow your horn school, but I believe we have to pump thise kids up a little. This got me to thinking. Being from way down here in California, I don't know squat about any of the players on the team. What do you guys think about posting some info on the players. If someone knows something about a player, post it. That way, when I go to a game I can say, Great play Aaron, or whoever. I forgot to commend the team on a great win over Hardin Simmons, so Here it is, Great Game, Good Execution. Keep it up.

Regarding this years roster, I notice there are 22 players from Hawaii, it sounds like the "Hawaiian Pipeline" is strong. By comparison, I checked the 2007 media guide, and it lists 9 players from Hawaii. Good thing that state doesn't have any non D1 football programs.

Not going to make the game on Saturday. In laws are coming into town last minute and I'm not sure how wanting to meet my internet football friends would go over as an excuse not to hang out with them. Not very happy about it but as much as I want to meet you all it's not worth a week on the couch. Everyone travel safely and enjoy your trip to SoCal.

Never apologize for supporting your grandson. His college playing days will be over way too soon for that. Enjoy this time as much as you can. Be proud of him for being a Wildcat. It's something he'll be for the rest of his life. Check out his picture here: http://www.linfield.edu/sports/release.php?id=3084
