Catdomealumni.com's ADvantage Catdome has just posted up our Linfield @ SOU preview.  Running a little late on the blog entries this week.  Been busy.  Will have my pick 'em post (w/ Mack and Maddy) and a trip around the CatdomeO'sphere up tomorrow.

ADvantage Catdome:  Game 3 Preview:  Linfield @ Southern Oregon

My profile says I'm JV, but feel more like Pop Warner, still trying to figure this out as this is the fourth time I'm trying to post and still not sure this will get to where it's suppose to. How do I post on the NWC board? Thanks in advance for any help.

I couldn't get the Oxy game on KadyTV as that silver-somethin-or-other download didn't work for me. But I'm happy to get audio from CatEye if nothing else.

Other than flying over there, are there any other options or live feeds for this Sat. game vs SOU?

Thanks again from someone stuck in the Pacific who just wants to see his son play.

Island Cat: You're on the NWC board. Aloha Nui Loa! Welcome to 'Cat land! SOU will be broadcasting the game this weekend over the internet. Log on to their web page and follow the links. Be sure to fly to the Catdome when you can.

GO 'CATS!

Mahalo, my bruddah.

How'd you do that? When I go to the NWC board, there is no "New Topic" tab to click on, only on the "West Region." Anyway, thank you. Also to D O.C. for your welcome.

I'll log on to SOU site and hope to watch the game.

I am planning to fly to SF to watch the Menlo Game (coincidentally, I watched last year's Menlo game too), and stay with friends. I would love to also see the Willamette game rematch live, but it's hard to make two trips in a month (hey, it can happen).

I wish the Cats Godspeed on their trip and a positive outcome to their game.

Go D!
(No disrespect to the Offense, but I'm partial to the D-line)

Aloha, #93's Dad.

ps: speaking of D-line... How come on the stats they have #93 as DT and not DE which is what he is... mmm?

I've also started writing a new segment called "Game Day" which provides the important information for and a brief preview of the next week's game.

GAME DAY #4
#21 BEARCATS VS. LEOPARDS

WHEN: 7:30 p.m. Saturday

WHERE: McCulloch Stadium

RECORDS: #21 Willamette 2-1, La Verne 0-1

ON THE AIR: Webcast at www.willamette.edu/athletics

BRIEFLY: The Bearcats and Leopards will take the field Saturday in McCulloch Stadium's first night game since 2007. "The kids like it, the fans like it, and once the game starts, I like it," Speckman said. "It's just a long time to wait. The waiting drives me nuts." La Verne's travel schedule is the reason for the late start, as the Leopards will only arrive in Salem the day of the game.

At last season's matchup between the teams in La Verne, Willamette trounced the Leopards 44-0. Still, the Leopards trailed just 14-0 at halftime, and Speckman expects another difficult matchup. "There's no such thing as an easy football game. That's an oxymoron," Speckman said. "They're good enough to beat us." There may be some truth to that – the Leapards lost just 21-9 to heavily favored Whitworth in their season opener.

Last week was a rough one for the rest of the NWC as Menlo and Pacific Lutheran were blown out while Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark lost close games of their own. However #13 Linfield helped salvage the conference's day, holding off #24 Occidental in Los Angeles 31-27.

Great writeup on the WU-SOU game, and your Game Day segment!   Keep the Bearcat cyber ink coming.    ;D

Another welcome from me, Island Cat. Glad to have you aboard!
Last year you sat next to my wife and me when you were at a home game.
It's great that you're able to see your son play.

We are headed down South and will be there about 5 tomorrow afternoon.

Go 'Cats!!

Hi CatDad,

We should be down there about that time and always interested in meeting new CatFanatics.
Where do you normally stay (Ashland or Medford).  If we get others maybe we can meet up for a little Catting around.

Mahalo Island Cat...great to see you posting on the board. We all welcome you! Your boy is doing great and we all welcome him to the Wildcat World and the CatDome. We've all enjoyed watching him play and be a big part of the team. Thanks for introducing yourself and we wish you peace! Thanks my man!

Catville Commissioner Elect

Welcome Aboard Island Cat.  The Catville Mayor and Mrs. Mayor welcome you.  When you get over to these parts, let me know and we would love to show you around the town.  COCO is also a great tour guide.  He, Mrs Coco, and the Coco Klan are the nicest you will find.

We make it over to the Islands almost every year and should be over in April or May.  We normally stay at one of our Condos at the Hilton Village and stay for 8-10 days.  Maybe we can get together.

If you ever need anything from Catville make sure you let me know.

The Mayor.

Thanks for making me feel welcome.
Wow, great memory, I wish mine was that good. That was the Menlo game and I believe her name was Nancy (?).
With all the away games this season, I'm relegated to audio feeds. But at least I'll get to see the Menlo game (again) in SF, and watch what's left on CatEyeView.
The one thing I do remember about last year was someone in the stands brought their pet pot bellied pig to the game. That's Catville!

Mahalo Nui Loa!
Wow the keys to the City from the Mayor! I love it!

Other than the Menlo game in SF, I'd also like to make it to the Willamette game, but that's a stretch.

If you golf, maybe you can bring your clubs to the islands next time and lets play a round, or two.

Aloha,

Thanks for the welcome. Wasn't sure at first about posting, as I've never joined a forum before or anything, I'm just a lonely Dad missing his baby boy.

Last year, I was happy he got play time and actually surprised he started a few games as a Frosh. This year, he had a really good day vs HSU, but had a harder time against Oxy, mmm?.

I'm glad you're enjoying his play, all the Island boys are contributing this year, I wish them the best.

Godspeed to the Cats on their next trip and game.

We are staying by the college at a Best Western... there will be another set of parents there as well... and we all love to Cat around

CatDad and IslandCat, you two are good additions to the board, and it's about time you showed back up, TopCat. Isn't posting a mayoral duty?

IslandCat, I'd forgotten about the little pot-bellied pig at that game. That was a first.
And you're correct on Mrs. Coco's name. As I recall, your boy did well that game.

I enjoy seeing lots of island boys on the roster, and we've got a bumper crop this year.

You all have a good time catting around in Ashland. Maybe you'll want to take in a play. Or not.

Gig Harbor Cat

Hey, lets get ready to rumble in Ashlandville,  SOU is going to be their usual in your face type of team, which will play right into our strengths on both sides of the ball.  It will be a great evening for our Salty D to step up for a score, actually will be the difference maker.
ROCKETMAN will have another steller night under the lights with the O.  Another breakout game for the Cat ground game as well.

This one is in the bank boys, let the purple frisbees fill the Southern Oregon sky.

Cats are a +17 in this one, all day long

I have business in Seattle on Sat, so I will be watching in my Gig Harbor bunker with ole Blue and Mojo the hound doggie.
