Although horrible play at the end. disgraceful.

Remember these are the Reserves so let's not be too hard on them. Another great Wildcat Victory to celebrate.
True enought...though it was also SOU's reserves...at least the QB was

As an unbiased (I think) outsider, my opinion is that last series wasn't that bad.  While it would be great to completely stuff them much of the drive came from their QB scrambling.  That won't hurt you when you are up three scores and force them to use up most of the clock.  Better than giving up the quick score.

Bluenote,

If you watch it next time on Internet Explorer rather than Mozilla Firefox it is a much bigger screen and much more enjoyable viewing. ....

Again...I just happened to watch the back come through the line, nobody on him after 5 yards, he looked back, tripped on his feet when he turned back up field, still uncovered, jogged to the middle, at least the qb picked him up and he DID run a bit after catching the ball.
No blame because it was end of game but any opponent getting that film will wonder how they can do it.

Man, I can sympathize.  We actually got outscored in the second half. ;)

FightBearcats

The Bearcats ate up Laverne.  Scored on every possession in the first half.  By the end they had used five quarterbacks and a lot of the guys got to play.  The 1st and 2nd string O and D lines were absolutely dominent.  Obviously, the 3rd and 4th string guys were prone to mistakes, some of which killed drives that likely would have ended with scores, but they'll learn.  Widing has shown steady growth each week and is looking very competent.  The Bearcats look quite ready for the league.  Kevin Ramay, the No. 2 QB, also did well.  He played most of the 2nd quarter and the Bearcats scored more in the 2nd than the 1st.  This should be a confidence builder.

As usual, Speckman didn't try to run up the score.  He subbed liberally.

Whitworth is always dangerous and always plays WU close.  Based on comparative scores it would look like the Bearcats should have the advantage but I'm sure they won't look at it that way.  They'll have to bring their "A" game to beat the Pirates - as usual.

Auryte! Another road kill for the Wildcats!

80+ plays on offense — beyond the definition of amazing — but alas, can't all be perfect. Heaven and Earth can't make things perfect, so how is it possible for man (or even a Wildcat)? It was a good win. Did we expect it? I think so.

3 and 0 baby!

Correct answer: None of the above.

P.S. Surely you can't be serious. It's La Verne not Laverne.

I have to admit SOU looked horrible most of the night.  They are not a very good football team.  The Cats O and D made them look like a schoolgirl all night.  Considering they were up on the bearkitties, well you all draw your own conclusion on that one.

Time for league play, next stop Menlo.  Keep your foot on the gas boys--on the
GAS !!!

Go Cats

Hey Dee,
I read some feedback opinion in the Trib (online) earlier this week on the Lute football program--it wasn't pretty.  Is Scott taking heat.  Is he the right guy in your opinion ?
