Well, good. Everything fell into place this time.

QuoteTEAM OF THE WEEK 4
DB Drew Fisher, So., Linfield
Fisher equaled a Linfield single-game record with three interceptions, plus recovered a fumble as Linfield defeated Southern Oregon 37-21 on the road to improve to 3-0 for the first time since 2005.

I know that the Linfield DBs are athletic but I'm wonder how much longer Derek Fisher will be in our defensive backfield before he has to check into the LA Lakers pre-season camp?  ;)

OK, its time to focus guys.  After reading all of my insider information on Menlo here is my pick.

Cats are a +31 on this one,  in fact I have the SALTY D  pitching a shutout with at least 3 sacks.  ( three only as we need to keep existing sack records in place)

ROCKETMAN  will fill the bay area sky with purple frisbees.  This one is in the bank boys, Phone It In.

Cats 31-0  and I may be a little light on the Cat O.( It could go north of 31)

GHC

Ditto!
Although, I might give 'em one late in the fourth vs 2's and 3's. Sorry.

I'll send in a special request for #93 to go into "beast mode" and tally up the sack stats.
Hopefully I'll get to see at least one live, eeeha!.

Go D!

Aloha,

btw GHC, I love your little clip on your masthead, also WC11's clip.

Ok,
I'm watching the evening news and there is a big announcement that Nike has signed a huge deal with M Vick.  I am blown away by this.  I have always had a ton of Nike gear and it's  all is going to the garage.  I just wrote Nike to tell them that I will never be on the same team as Vick.

Just had to put this out there

Oly will always be a NW beer. On a family vacation when I was young we stoped at the Olympia Brewrey and took the tour. And that was about 37 years ago. Great trip, our family is eight people and my mom let the two oldest bring a friend. we were in a van. guess who got the back. Great time.
Don't forget about Old Milwaukee.

A bit off topic, but I'll go ahead and give some rebuttal to your comment GHC, and fuel your fire.
Why go anti-Nike just now?  Vick may have been a convicted criminal but I'm pretty sure there's another 30 - 50 law-breakers (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nike_sponsorships for a list of all those they sponsor).  The least of some who have had affairs, DUIIs and drug abuse violations.  I would hate for my child to want to grow up thinking taking drugs or drinking and driving is ok because they saw an athlete do it.  I might even be a little more lenient if I found out he was involved in dog-fighting (and I'm a dog-lover).

So to go anti-Nike now, seems a bit off. If we are to hold them accountable for this situation then I think we should hold them accountable for all their previous sponsorships of no-do-gooders.
But I'm also a believer in second chances.  I've had my share, maybe not on the big stage where you're held to a higher standard but this is our society we've created.
However I do agree though that it might be a little too early to give him this second chance.  He needs to earn it first.

I'd be happy to pick up all your nike gear free of charge next time I'm in town (besides I'm sure it has some antique value ;D)

Isn't about time we have people calling for Coach Smith to be fired?  Oh wait--we're 3-0.....  I for one am glad he's still there....now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Hey GHC,

My first reaction upon hearing about the M. Vick endorsement deal was the same as yours. Really hacked off at Nike. Bad judgment on their part, I think.

Like FarAwayCat, I believe in redemption, but not before there is some evidence of it having taken place. Somehow, two (?) preseason games and one reg season game seems to be "hurrying the pass" so to speak. I have the greatest respect for Tony Dungy and have high hopes that his mentoring of Michael will result in Michael straightening his life around.

There's an old saying here at the Old-Folks home that relates to being in too big a hurry. That is, "Don't date the widow while the body's still warm." Nike should have waited a more decent length of time.

I think Jay Locey went either 5-4 0r 6-3 his first 4 or 5 years if I recall right... ?

Another congratulations to Drew Fisher for being named to the TOW. That's well-deserved recognition.
I hope we're hitting on all cylinders against Menlo this week.

This is all about being the big time animal lover that I am.  And no matter how you spin Vick he is still the same person inside.  He is not sincere only doing what he has to because he got caught.

I don't buy it, neither does Mojo the hound doggie.  As for my gear I think you would see that it out cool's yous A to Z
